Hello,
I want to buy 5000-10,000 custom clay poker chips for tournaments (does not have to be real clay). The budget for this is around $4-5k USD. Where is the best place to go for this? Is there any alibaba manufacturers that are good, or is there somewhere in the USA that would make them?

If you prefer a US company that will keep your custom design secure, then BR Pro Poker could produce 5000 to 6000 chips within your stated $4-5k budget (cost per chip would be 75¢ US):

Does not need to be real clay. Check with BRO poker or @justincarothers

Your request is very odd, it’s as if you don’t understand tournament structures.

5k chips at an avg of 400 chips is 12.5 tables - are you planning on running 25 table tournaments?

Without first understanding your chip needs? Are you going to do a T25?

I run a university poker club, the last tourney we ran had 14 tables running and over 200 entries, I was planning on getting even more than 5k chips, but I think 5k is good.

This can’t be real.
I promise it is 😭

Yep, just go with BR Pro Poker and you'll get a quick turnaround and a quality ceramic chip with your custom design. Can't go wrong.
Do they do clay / fake clay as well?

What about clay options?

Good lord brother! You are in the right place.

No need for Alibaba. Not at all. With a $5K budget, you can certainly get into other customs we have on tap here. I’d hit up @justincarothers as he is a great dude to deal with, and he can definitely set you up with the chips, the customization option, and the price will be roughly under $5000 for 10K chips.

For custom chips, they just do full-face ceramics, I believe. Reach out to them ([email protected]) and they will help you out. You might want to order a sample set to get an idea of what the chips will feel like. They have really good customer service, and once your order is placed, you should have your chips in 3-4 weeks.

YES! this is the info we need to help you!

What about clay options?
Your budget and chip size needs translate to you not really having any clay options. You can try posting a wanted ad and see if someone has that size of a set in clay that you can afford. I could be wrong. If people see it, they may have some other options you didn't think/know about that might also fit your needs, though they are less likely to be custom.

What you want to do is understand how many players max you want to be able to handle, then you can translate that to how many chips needed base on the Tourney you want to run.

Also the tournament structure. Rebuys and reentries increase chips needs

I will, thanks!

Best option for "fake clay" as you called it is Tina hybrids. Around 50c per chip. You've already got the contact above - Justin.

Have you seen what these look like? Best imitation available for clay looking ceramic chips.

https://www.pokerchipforum.com/thre...ek-mold-web-mold-showcase.110561/post-2739796 for more photos/ Also Justin's Vendor store.

The newest Jester mold. About 5 other molds are available.

Wow!

Those look incredible! They even feature cross hatching now!?! Do my eyes deceive me? Gosh they look so much like a Paulson to me. I’m a fool though, so there is that. Hahahah

I gotta move forward with an idea or two.

Holy Jesus and baby Jesus thats ALOT of rebuys if I am understanding you correctly! Figuring 8 or 10 players per table thats 112 to 140 players. I would be exhausted running that tournament. Your butt would never hit the chair before someone was needing a rebuy. Anyways, in that environment I also would recommend Justin. Depending on what you do, he can order something completely custom and secure. I doubt security is a huge issue, but if you are the tournament director you should be thinking about it.

Off topic: How long did THAT take!?

haha, yes the tourneys can be quite hectic, and we usually host them over 2 days or sometimes within 1 day for 8h+. Thanks for the help!
