You see these guys at meetups who are basically like Neo viewing the Matrix's source code - tracking all the extra information a game like Scarney or Badugi offers for someone who can visualize 6 other players' draws and actions and constantly changing hands across streets, and doing the math in real time on what that means for their and everyone else's equity and bets.
Skilled players have such a significant edge over inexperienced ones, once they've mastered knowing when to push those edges, and have the cash to ride out the variance.
