did we win?
Explain this to me.
If it's a 1 in 292,201,338 chance of winning and the Jackpot is 1.5B and it's $2 per ticket then buying every number will guarantee a win - spend $600 million and win 1.5 billion?
As dumb as it is, my Partner randomly checked her tickets about 6 Mo ago and got the "Go to Lottery Office" on one. Ended up having 10k on one from a few weeks before. It can happen.
Just not to me. Ever.
We trusted you to pick correct numbers
You’re lucky it was one of the ones from a few weeks before checking. I think maybe lotteries require winning tickets be claimed within 180 days. Have your partner check every 3 months or something. As dumb as it is, my Partner randomly checked her tickets about 6 Mo ago and got the "Go to Lottery Office" on one. I’d like to! I’m happy to handle again, or let someone else. Besides, I was getting ready to ask how to handle the $8 we won — I’d like to put it towards a few extra lines for Monday’s pool If that sounds agreeable To folks. So we’re running it back for Monday right?
(Jackpot didn’t hit)
Works for meI’d like to! I’m happy to handle again, or let someone else. Besides, I was getting ready to ask how to handle the $8 we won — I’d like to put it towards a few extra lines for Monday’s pool If that sounds agreeable To folks.
bc of the size of the pool, everything was random.Do y’all do quick picks? Or randomize yourselves. And if self randomizing is it +EV to skew towards non calendar numbers, mostly over 32 and definitely nothing 1-12?
I totally could’ve missed something. I’ll get them scanned this morning and report backIn for Monday.
In for rolling winnings over (but I thought it was more than $8).
Download the Colorado Lottery app. It has a scan ticket function.I totally could’ve missed something. I’ll get them scanned this morning and report back
Not suggesting you are scamming. I just thought we had some Powerball only winners and at least one Powerball+1 winner.I totally could’ve missed something. I’ll get them scanned this morning and report back
My gut reaction to this post was, "Pfft! It's random, so there's no way that skewing your picks will affect EV."Do y’all do quick picks? Or randomize yourselves. And if self randomizing is it +EV to skew towards non calendar numbers, mostly over 32 and definitely nothing 1-12?
Edit: good luck finding any data of number frequencies on tickets (the only thing that matters). Just a bunch of news articles with bad math and logic
