Because everything -- including/especially rock music -- went south starting in 1970. Does the term "bubblegum music" ring a bell with you?

:cool
ah, the confused old man yells at clouds syndrome. :ROFLMAO:
Back in my day we had real music.. there just isn't any good music these days
Bubblegum started in the 60's and lasted a few years.. and is also not relevant since there has always been pandering music.

Zeppelin IV came out in '71

Some bands you may not have heard of that put out some decent rock from 1970 on:
Van Halen
U2
AC/DC
Black Sabbath
Queen
The Ramones
Rush
Guns N Roses
Nirvana
ZZ Top

You get the idea :cool

I'll take U2, maybe Rush. You're welcome to the rest -- especially the one fronted by perhaps the worst singer in rock history: AC/DC. His tv series sucked, too.

Seriously, as we all get older, it seems our taste in music trends softer and softer..

That wasn’t a complete list. There are a few other bands that put out good music in the last 54 years.
Check them out when you get a chance. :p

Bon Scott never had a TV series ;)

Such is life. Most things tend to trend softer as we get older.
But you can still rock out.
In the last year and a half I have been to a few septuagenarian shows. The Who, Steve Miller, John Fogerty and Billy Joel. Amazed at how good they still sounded.. especially Daltrey (he was always a phenomenal singer).
