Hi all,
here's my idea for a T1500 / T2000 for 6 to 10 players with max 1 rebuy per player and a medium duration of about 3 hours... the initial stacks are:

10 x Reds "5"
10 x Greens "25"
7 x Blacks "100"
1 or 2 Purple "500"

(Yellow "1000" available)

Here's the blind structure I thought with levels of 12 minutes each and 15 min breaks after each hour of play:
-------------------------------
5 / 10
10 / 20
15 / 30
25 / 50
35 / 75
------------------------
15 min Break + color up (Red "5" chips out)
------------------------
50 / 100
75 / 150
100 / 200
150 / 300
200 / 400
------------------------
15 min Break + color up (Green "25" chips out)
------------------------
300 / 600
400 / 800
500 / 1000
600 / 1200
800 / 1600
------------------------
15 min Break (Color up taking out Blacks "100" or not?)
------------------------
1000 / 2000
1500 / 3000
2000 / 4000
3000 / 6000
4000 / 8000
----------------------
5000 / 10000

How do you rate a similar structure? Do you like it or you would apply some modifications? I've not taken in consideration the use of antes in latter levels but eventually I'm ready to evaluate them.

Thanks in advance for your opinions and suggestions.

12-minute blinds are just too short, imo. You also double the blinds after just 12 minutes (100% increase from 5/10 to 10/20), essentially cutting the starting stacks in half almost immediately.

There's a huge difference between 6 players with T1500 stacks (9k total in play) and 10 players with T2000 stacks (20k total in play). And getting both events to complete in 3 hours using the same blind structure is... challenging. This can only be accomplished by altering the blind level times for each.

With your schedule (using 12-minute levels), a 6xT1500 event will typically last no longer than 2:12 plus breaks, and a 10xT2000 event will last no longer than 2:48 plus breaks (using typical re-buy rates). But play in both will feel pretty rushed.

I recommend T3000 stacks (10/10/7/4) with 15-minute blind levels:

L1 10/20
L2 15/30
L3 20/40
L4 30/60
L5 40/80
remove T5 chips
L6 50/100
L7 75/150
L8 100/200
L9 150/300
remove T25 chips
L10 200/400
L11 300/600
L12 400/800
L13 600/1200
L14 800/1600

10 players will finish in 3.5 hours (L14), while 6 players will finish in 3 hours (L12). All blind increases are 33% to 50%, averaging 42%.

Use T500 chips to color-up the T5s and T25s.

This is the format that i using for my T5 T2000 (10/10/7/2) with one rebuy or T5 T3000 (10/10/7/4) freezeout tourney.

Gameplay usually end at Level 15 - 17 (for a ring table) which is about 4 hours if the blind level is 15 min

Thanks for the suggestions... you are right, 12 minute blinds are quite short so we're going back to the usual 15.
Also 3 hours was just an indication.. I think your adjustments and considerations are enough to fit the bill and improve our game so thanks a lot :)
