Hi All,

Just picked up ~1200 Grand Vics and need a nice place to put them. Before going to Palm or Apache, I wanted to reach out to see if anyone had any 66.7mm racks that they would be interested in selling. I figure that I need at least 12, but I could do more or less depending on what you want to unload.

Thanks so much!

Congrats on the hoard! Pics when you get them!!

@David O how do the chipco racks i sold you hold used Paulsons? Last I remember, they held pretty well
They fit okay but not as well as the older Chipco racks. They are ever so slightly larger than the older ones. I know that the worn Trops fit as long as I put in a spacer although I do have a barrel of Uncirculated Trop $100's that fit perfectly.

On the GV $5's you can easily fit 21 chips!

This is all good info. Thank you! I've been shying away from anything higher than 66.7 because I was worried I wasn't getting the best fit. My current chipco racks fit less worn Paulsons nicely, but sometimes need a spacer for well played ones.

I also have the crappy $1 racks that are broken before they get to me are big enough to fit truck tires.

If you cannot find Paulsons your best bet are the Chipco racks from Palm. The shipping is a bit higher than you would expect but you still get a pretty good price per rack especially if you buy 20 or more to spread the shipping cost across all racks. You need to email them and let them know you are a PCF member for a discounted price on the racks.

Thanks David. I agree with you on PGI being the best option. I emailed Joe last week and am waiting to hear back about rack availability and any PCF discounting.

can even consider posting on here as well, lots of people have chipcos around

Come on David. You've sold me chips, so I know there's lonely racks somewhere (though I'd be willing to bet your Old Vegas chips fill them in nicely). [emoji4]

I may have some of the GV's sell by Friday.

Also when you email Joe you may want to copy Kim since Joe gets pretty busy. Try emailing kimpgi@aol.com

I am looking forward to seeing how the Sun-Fly racks measure up. Bulk pricing is decent, and ~if~ they are designed to hold 20 Sun-Fly ceramics per barrel, they ~should~ be right around 66.7mm and be near-perfect for new Paulson chips.

Pricing info can be found in Tommy's ceramic hybrid Borgata tribute chip thread. 43mm racks, too.

I have been watching that as well. If they are 66.7 they will be a good choice for Paulson chips.

All,

Just wanted to let you know that I picked up some racks from PGI for Paulsons and they fit my chips nicely. They say "Palm Gaming Int" across the center barrel and are slightly smaller than their Chipco racks. Only the very worn chips didn't fit snug, and even then, I couldn't even fit a spacer in the gap.

I can't really speak to how good of a deal it was ($2 each for 15 racks, plus medium flat rate shipping), but I found it to be reasonable.

I'm sure most of you know this already, but I wanted to be sure to share my experience for any new folks.

I have those same Palm racks and fully agree that they fit Paulsons very nice and snug. I also bought some 66.7 mm racks from Game On Chip Co. in Maine. They are better made -- thicker material with almost a rubbery feel that doesn't feel as if they could shatter the way the acrylic racks can if dropped -- and also fit the chips snugly but they don't stack quite as well becasue the distance from the bottom of each barrell to the bottom of the rack seems smaller than in the Palm racks.

Have you got pics?

I checked in with David Spragg on 66.7mm racks.

He says the higher price racks they sell fit their chips (e.g. MD-50) properly. But they are $5.50e... Not sure how they would do for Paulsons. Assume fine.

[Sorry if this is duplicative. Just wanted to bump so everyone sees it]

Hi All,

Here is a screenshot of a convo I had with Joe from Palm. These racks are smaller than Chipco racks and cost $2 each for PCF members (pic of rack in post #20). They fit my Paulsons perfectly.

Some of you have hookups for racks, but if you are debating spending $4+, this is a reasonable option.

I'll post some pictures later tonight.

Here are some pictures comparing the Game On racks (slightly opaque) with the Palm racks both empty and stacked with chips to show the differences. Classics are in the Game On racks; PCRs are in the Palm racks.

The problem with PGI-branded racks is that they are 'rockers' - stacked racks will rock end-to-end due to the raised PGI text being located in the center barrel, creating an axis pivot point. This makes stacked racks inherently unstable.

The PGI chipco-branded racks do not have this problem, as the Chipco text is not located underneath the center barrel. Same for original Chipco racks, Paulson racks, and BJ racks.

Thanks for the guidance, as always. I haven't had enough exposure to notice this. I was just happy they fit worn Paulsons without needing spacers [emoji3]

The best 66.7 & 67.7 racks I had found I used to order from a Yahoo store called Casino Discount Supplies, but that store is now unfortunately closed. They were branded 66.7 & 67.7 in the center barrel. Would love to find where they got there stock from because they were great and reasonably priced.
