KQ suited (with a tell) (2 Viewers)

Wow! We haven't even got to the good part yet!

No re raise preflop. Remember here, lots of limpers, in a social game. SB could have any two, but he is very laggy, and could 3 bet with anything of value.

I actually bet $15 here.
SB folds.

Now the good part:. Villain looks anguished, like he wants to call. He verbally says to the table "I know I shouldn't just call here with this" and raises to $35 total. The whole thing is a bit Grand standy and takes a minute.

Back to hero. What's your read here, and what's your action?

I know @Lil Tuna folded pre, but he can jump back in!

$35 bet is a sign villain is on the draw and is willing to play for stacks at this point.
Jam that KQ if you think it will hold up and it’s worth the small amount of $ you’ve all ready committed.
Villain already knows what you have.

See...now you have me stuck in a position I wanted to avoid by limping pre-flop damn it...LOL!!

I would jam if the turn was already out (amd didn't hit the straight or flush draw), but I'm just calling here. You put a feeler bet out, so what you gonna do with the info?

Hold on to your undies here, dont want them to get sucked into your puckered butt, and jam so hard

Wait, I did not even notice that there is a flush draw on the board. So really there are almost no safe turns. Even the cards which improve you are trouble, potentially. That might lead me to either bet small (to reduce variance and keep more truly junky hands in) or bet big (to take it down or punish draws more, folding to most big check raises).

If the turn is a blank and villain still bets, your now questioning if villain flopped a set.
Your still in a pretty tough spot.
Would much rather be villain who didn’t play KQ here.
Villiain knows exactly where he is.

Totally agree. Would prefer to play small ball here and get away cheap. Although...I have been known to gamble from time to time :)

In a social game, he very likely wouldn’t give that speech with a set, two pair, or TPTK. Jam and run it three times!
If villain is good at sending out disinformation, he just might make that speech.

The speech tells you nothing. Ignore it

Delayed turn c-bet was my gut on the flop as this hand isn’t great against a likely check raise this multi-way on a board that smacks their ranges. It’s too weak to go the distance if we get played back multiple streets.

This raise is small enough and there are enough natural xr bluffs that it’s a pretty clear call. I hate a jam

So glad I folded KQ pre flop. :ROFLMAO: I’m going to get a beer.

I put him on a draw and Jammed for another $60 effective...he insta called with BOTH draws...8h9h....so I was right {kinda}. Outcome really doesnt matter, as it is pretty much a coin flip now....but it held and I stacked him.

Alternate reality: I flat call. Turn comes out 4s. What do you do if:
a) Villain checks
b) Villain leads out for $30
c) Villain jams for $60

Your pretty much committed, and that 4s makes me happy as hell. Now I jam for any of those 3 scenarios.

I try to avoid pure gambling coin tosses....LMAO!! Okay...that's BS.

Must of been at Gunny's because he was on the plate at the end of the night. I think he missed every one of his draws.

It was at Gunny's, and I stacked him again (along with Rich) like 10 hands later when they both had AK v. my QQ! Yeah, he wasnt liking me too much that night!

LOL!! They hated me that night. I hit pretty much every draw and got paid off big on nearly all of them. That was my +$1,400 night I believe. You gotta love Rich's contribution to the game :)

And yes, me and Gunny started drinking early, so I was pretty buzzed by the 2nd orbit.
