New Versa Games Case? Birdcage on steroids! (1 Viewer)

I got mine in. Great looking. VERY Sturdy. Compact.

Does NOT fit 43 mm racks.

The only design flaw is that it’s impossible to get your fingers in the full case to get the two bottom racks out.

I think the answer is a leather or canvas strap that goes under the racks and allows you to pull them up out of the case.

Or lay an empty rack on top of the last two and flip case upside down....I'd still say that's a design flaw for sure.

I found it fairly easy to pull the bottom racks out. Not ideal for sure, but far from a deal breaker.

I'm pretty happy with mine. Will definitely use this for chip transport when driving somewhere.

I love these. It’s a good alternative to a bird cage if you like things sealed and protected from the outside elements.

But I miss the bird cage where I can see the chips inside.

Also I noticed a very strong odor when I opened mine, probably from the foam or liner adhesive. Be sure to air it out a bit before first use.

I ordered a third birdcage and just received a 1000 chip breifcase version. Dammit! Just contacted (through amazon) to start the hassle of getting what I ordered. We’ll see if error or if they’re out and just sent this instead.

I've had them say "keep it" on inexpensive items before, because shipping a bulky item and then restocking (sending it to a resale store in many cases) is more economical. The price of the case should be very close to their "we'll eat the error" barrier.

Ordered one thanks to a birthday gift card from my MIL. Added on a book about PLO8 strategy by Greg Vail so I can finally dominate Tuesday night.

I’ll post up my thoughts when it arrives.
How’s the book? I just started it.

Got to see this thing in person, purchased by @Steppenwolf. Couple observations,

1) Foam on bottom makes racks on top unstable
2) Flipping the setup and putting foam on top makes it almost impossible to lift bottom two racks out from the bottom
3) Air it out if you’re gonna stick to it. The foam has a very strong odor that’ll probably transfer to the chips when in play

Nice design but flawed. If they made it so that the long side on the bottom flaps open to allow for easy removal of the bottom two racks, would be an awesome case.

I’m not sure why people are complaining about not being hard to lift out the bottom two racks. It’s so easy! Just remove two barrels so that an edge of one rack shows, then use your fingers to clamp that edge and lift one rack out. Once you have one rack out you can just scoop the other rack out.

I think this case is brilliant. It’s very compact with a small footprint. And the 6 locking latches makes it super secure from accidental spillage. The pros far outweigh the cons IMO.

Well it all depends on you ask lol There’s this thing called OCD and we all have it to a certain degree. Given that, to Versa or not to Versa?!

So if you had to choose between this new versa and the traditional see thru birdcage, which one would u choose? I think long term wise the durability has me leaning towards the versa.

If all 39mm chips, then definitely Versa for me.

39mm + 43mm chips, this doesn’t fit 43mm chips even with Matsui racks.

Traditional, and it's not even close.

The only advantage to the Versa is transportation to faraway locations. For transportation within in your own home, the standard birdcage has easily withstood the test of time. Plus the traditional birdcage allows you to see/display your chips. The Versa also makes it a little difficult to remove the bottom tray.

Nope. 43mm racks definitely won't fit.

Nice-looking case, though, and small footprint for those wanting to transport only 1000 chips. I'm spoiled, having used the MM cases which can accomodate 43mm racks, and also have space for cards, plaques, and buttons.
MM Cases?
