I'm curious as to how you guys store your chips when not in use. Do most folks use the birdcage storage boxes or high end custom made boxes? Here's what I'm gonna be using to store my new Paulson's when they arrive.

Ps those dice chips don't belong in such a nice box I know!

Real, felt-lined wood cases (or gen-u-ine leather) are nice! Many of them only have small capacities lie maybe 300-400 chips, possibly without room for cards and the odd button. A lot of people like to store them in almost military-grade environmentally-sealed foam-packed cases that look like they could survive most natural disasters. And others yet prefer simple acrylic cages that double as both display and portable case.

I store mine in regular racks and let them breath! The racks are in an old cheap barrister bookcase. Maybe I'll add a picture later!

Wooden display case, birdcages, aluminium case, pelican case. Pelican case I'm pretty sure would survive a bomb going off. Zero worries transporting my chips in that.

Birdcages for transport but most of the time they sit in my display case. Planning on adding lights in it but haven't gotten around to it yet. This pic is missing my newest tournament set I recently bought.

What a tease with those 25$ Pointe
I miss that whole set honestly. That was the last set of chips within those shelves. I have since sold the chips and filled in the built-ins to make room for a TV. :(

I was so paranoid when I would go away for more than a day that I would hand a picture in front of the built-ins so you would have no idea the chips were there. :ninja:

An updated photo. As hard as it might be to believe, I've sold around 10K chips recently. Most of the rest are going in 2019. Now I'm down to these, plus three Sarge-type rolling tool chests and one more set of these shelves out in the garage. Maybe after we get back after the holidays, I'll hold a contest to see who can spot the changes since the November photo or the one in 2017.

I spy one rack of spotted birds and two racks of spotted non birds. Those spotted birds should come home to my sanctuary!

The local chip warden tells me that you're way over the legal bag limit already, David. It's time you set some of those birds free...or held a big limit game next August.

(The four racks of Flamingos I have are from my first Vegas harvest in January, 2011. Along with a couple of racks from the then newly-opened Cosmopolitan.)

You think there are 5 Player's Club 8V quarters in there?

This thing was pretty cheap and holds a good bit of chips

Stacks 2 racks deep. 70 bucks with shipping from ikea and it locks/has wheels. I was hoping it could go under the poker table but the cross beams on my folding table are just barely in the way.
