Wait, does tomorrow's winner win Prize #8 (which should have been awarded today) or does tomorrow's winner win both prizes #8 and #9?

Because of the sheer number of hands required for this I am going to bail out and use https://www.random.org/playing-cards/ to do this.

- I will draw 12 cards from the deck.
- The first two cards will be the first player's (the player on the "upper" bracket of the match-up).
- The next two cards will the the second player's (the player on the "lower" bracket of the match-up).
- The next card will be the burn, followed by the flop, burn, followed by the turn, burn, followed by the river.
- Best 5-card hand wins and advances to the next round.

Here is an example, where K3 > 42

EXAMPLE.jpg

Winner of each region is guaranteed a prize from the following:

- Cleveland Horseshoe COMPLETE sample set
- BCC hot-stamped heads up set
- Main Event entry at the meet-up of your choice
- @Johnny5 artwork fee (up to 5 denoms)
- $100 credit for @Gear product/service
- $100 credit at @TheChipRoom

[full disclosure: I have not run this by any of the tagged members/vendors/sponsors - I'm confident we will be able to work something out :)]

The winner will get the first choice from the prizes, runner-up will get the next choice, 3rd place will get the next choice, and 4th place will get the last choice. Questions? Fire away :)

How do R2 and R3 deal with 11 guys?

In the regions with 10 am I correct in that 1 plays 10, 2 plays 9, etc? At the end of the initial matchups there will be an odd number of players... giving someone a bye at that point would result in 3 being left, another odd number.

I'd suggest randomly giving four people byes in R1 and R4 and randomly giving five guys byes in R2 and R3 so after the "first round" each region has 8 left and will run smooth for the duration.

Maybe that person who donated the most in the bracket gets a bye? For the record, I'm fine with however you decide. I never win flips anyway

I assume that the winner of each bracket will play against each other, how do you determine who is 3rd ?

Just let me know if I win :)

Oops. Yes.

Region 1 winner will play Region 2 winner.
Region 3 winner will play Region 4 winner.

Winners advance to 1st/2nd place matchup, losers play for 3rd and 4th place.

I don't care how any of the contests run. Just gimme the Cap Room chips...
Was gonna bring them Thursday just in case you struck up a deal with the winner and wanted to take them but it's looking like they will be raffled off Friday.

Bring them anyways. If he is able to finagle them from the winner I can always deliver them to him in AUG @slisk250

@slisk250, @Sprouty, @detroitdad. If/when I win them, I suspect we might be able to work out a financial arrangement/donation back to Josh that will convince me to let them go. :whistling::D

Can't wait to tear through region 4 and flop the nuts vs krafticus.. (fantasy)
or get sucked out on the 1st hand and watch from the rail (reality)

I gotta say, if I win the Capitol Room set there is very little chance that I would part with them.

That said, the chance that I win them is already far less than the odds would dictate. I must have kicked a puppy or something in a previous life.

If i win them, they will be shipped directly to @slisk250 without any compensation needed.

Mark

My buddy, @Sprouty is the one that owns these. That is why I have offered to deliver them to him at his meet up in AUG. It will only be a minor inconvenience for me. Unless your adamant about shipping them that is :)
