PSA ... I will no longer purchase chips if USPS is being used for shipping.

Tracking says my chips were delivered to a P O. Box, which I don't have. ???

Looked like they found my package from Iceland, only for it to go “in transit to next facility” for 2 days in my own fuckin city. Just bring it to my damn house you dodos!

I walked by the post office in Dedham, MA yesterday and saw a huge sign in the window that said SHIP EARLY TO AVOID DELAYS
I can understand a sign like that during the christmas season, but just every day year round? Weird.

What if however early you ship it’s still too late?

Probably not even worth shipping anymore. Just hang onto everything and tell people “it was never going to get there anyway, unless you’ve got a fucking TARDIS or something”.

It’s all so pointlessly hopeless.

It’s a 14 hr drive.

How did it leave Lubbock and Amarillo only to return?

Package going from CA to CT, went to Des Moines, IA, then to Warrandale, PA, then to White Plains, NY, then to Stamford, CT...

...then to West Fargo, ND. :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

This chip I ordered on eBay took a 14 day journey to get delivered from Kentucky to Indiana. Just one state away.

I'm in Portland OR.

So these fuckers are the very model of efficiency.

I can fill an entire page of anxiety detailing just the last month.
My fav is 2 chips I sent to NJ from NY that went down to FLA and back.

This week I am watching a package 'returned to sender' because it went to the wrong post office a few miles away.
I showed up there 2 hours after the tracking said error and it was too late.
By the time I get it it will have traveled more than 13,000 miles.

I bought some hoodies from a band website. They went from Missouri, to SLC, to Ohio, to NJ, to Portland, ME, to Shapleigh, ME and then back to Portland, ME for delivery. lol

I don't understand why people continue to use USPS

I'm at a point where if I'm selling a set of chips, I'd rather take a day trip and fly to the destination and back and do a hand delivery. Costs only a couple hundred more than shipping and insurance.

Fedex ground or UPS is mainly how I receive. No one has used USPS for me. Luckily

lol for some if us it’s that or drive over an hour to get to a UPS or FedEx store.

I buy insurance most of the time anymore, just because I superstitiously think they treat them better if they are in the system like that instead of ordinary mail. I don’t think I could ever collect it in any case, but it makes me feel better.

I sent two chips via US Mail for the cost of a forever stamp and a 2 oz/non-machinable surcharge.

Then again, these aren't high value chips, and I didn't charge the recipient. So if they go lost...

USPS still does some things right for chippers.
