Well UPS doesn't deliver their stuff anymore so they are probably way overloaded with packages. Probably in the coming years it'll get back to normal after they make a deal. They did make some deal with Fedex I'm not sure the extent of it

Fortunately, the situation seems to be resolving itself. The package isn't in Washington State and is currently out for delivery :)

After 3 days of no updates there are suddenly 8 updates  .

Last night, I had dug up the #'s to make the call this morning.

We all how that usually turns out.

2000 miles past the destination and (luckily) back.

I just mailed a dealer button for $8.10
Last week it was 7.30 for two, and 7.60 for three, using the same bubble envelope.
I asked the clerk WTF? And was told 'yes, I noticed that too'.

A 10+% postage increase to pay for wasted jet fuel?

You are sane and rational.

Now, did you think you'd make significant cognitive headway, asking these kinds of reality-based questions, in a government office?

DID YOU ?
Never in my life has it been more truer than today - “I don’t know anything, I just get a paycheck here”.
Standard excuse for everything. And people are ok with it nowadays. It’s normal.

It's everywhere now. Mediocrity is the new high bar :(

lol for some if us it’s that or drive over an hour to get to a UPS or FedEx store.

I buy insurance most of the time anymore, just because I superstitiously think they treat them better if they are in the system like that instead of ordinary mail. I don’t think I could ever collect it in any case, but it makes me feel better.
If the vault was operating from Anglefire for the last 12 months, I would have requested Fedex pick-up or driven the couple of hours once or twice a week. I would not be able to sleep with that amount of transactions and $ in the hands of those fools.

First time this happened, but I usually pay online for flat rate packages and print the label at the teller. Except when I gave the teller my QR code she printed the label and said the label was “Unpaid for so she couldn’t label the package”.

Not sure how the QR code would even be available if I didn't pay for it. Figured I’d try again lager since I had just made the payment and would be on the other side of town to use a different post office.

Sure enough the other post office isn’t accepting QR codes and the printer is down.

Yup. Posted the same thing a few before you. Almost $9 to mail a padded envelope now. 8.75 for me, and a SFRB is $9.20 on pirate ship. I’d rather just use the box to avoid going to the P.O.

Donkeys.

I've done everything I know to do recommend that valuable packages be sent via private carriers.

It's ok to think of me as Chicken Little (I wish some of you would get the reference), but I think we're going to need a lot more valuable packages to go missing before your listening skills come to the fore.

I'M SORRY, PLAYERS.
