Is there an actual list of all of the Paulson colors anywhere?
I see the resource showing all of the colors, but no typewritten list that I can use for other purposes.

Downloaded and ready to go. Not having to make this list saves me a good chunk of time.

Were those pictures or scans?
My scanner fails terribly with pink and blaze orange.

My current problem is that I see most sales for these sample colors tp be 78pc. Mine is 79.
I have not gone thru them all to make a list, but I already have two versions of ROSE.

Probably better off taking a picture in daylight but for now let me say the 1st Rose has a hint of red while the scan looks more like a lighter Fuschia.
The 2nd Rose scan is not too bad but a hint less violet. Next to each other this scan is not all that bad.

The Rose from the resource collection is nothing like either that I have and looks dead on as the Lilac that I have.
Fuschia from the resource seems a little too deep and vibrant, but maybe because mine is not oiled.

Will the real lead-rosey please stand up?

I would be interested in seeing a Paulson colour sample set that was produced in 2025 vs some of the samples that have changed hands on PCF recently.

I wonder if GPI still produce colour samples on THC mold even? If they don’t how old are all the sample sets we see?

Also the colour samples I’ve seen on inlay RHC don’t seem to have the colour named. Maybe I’m just not spotting it though.

I will read up.

My sample set of 78/79 was bought from @Apache ~2007-2010 and I assume were his possession from the same time the Card-pip (Suits-mold) retail chips were being designed.
Edit: maybe I can review the font sizes to pin down a date in the chronology photos.

My intention in starting this was initially to scan (after scanner color fails I stopped) and weight.
Adding weight to these data collections in that chronology would be interesting.
I was just doing this as a standalone time killer (I already stalled 2 weeks after weighing 1/4 of them but now I will be a little more motivated to finish).

You're talking about these? Then yes, no colors indicated on inlay. There are versions of these with the same inlay, but on plain mold, where they are also hot stamped.

Sure, GPI/Paulson still produce these samples with 88 colors. If you're lucky enough to place an order directly with them, you can order a color sample set.

Problem with scanning is that the scanner alters some of the brighter colors significantly, such as blaze orange, arc yellow, etc.

That's mostly a "leaded" or "semi-leaded" set. The color hues are very slightly different. The weights for the chips vs. a modern day set are also slightly different (leaded is generally heavier, but chip-to-chip variations can sometimes make a single chip lighter).

Yes, but if you go to resources and search "paulson colors" and select not 'everywhere', but 'resources' you will turn it up.
Add it to watched to be able to shortcut to it later when in resources.

If you carefully tip toe around the pasted table it will not misbehave/fall apart but reformatting cell by cell is a PITA, so agree on the screen shot.

I knew it! The secret ingredient is flour all along.

Every time I bake, the kitchen smells suspicious of (bright) Paulson.
 
Still trying to nail down what5 my extra ROSE is.
Looks closest to Light Violet but no quite. The sample is ~15 years old.
