Paulson Color list (1 Viewer)

Are you talking about this one?

If so, the size of the hot stamp looks like it's probably from the 60-chip sample set made from 1985-2002.

So color hue probably means a different formula.

From your table it seems like it's 11.39g, leaded?

That would make sense.
I may have a mixed bag even though they were all purchased at once.
I have mixed fonts in the whole set. Some large, some the same as the gallery, and some slightly larger than the gallery.

That one (small font) is the heavy. Heavier than both the other sample weights.

I also noticed a shade difference in Off-White in my set and a new chip that is Off-White (new chip being in between my samples of Off-White and White (due to formula and or lead?)).
I was going to bring that up later but may as well mention that here.

When you dig back into older chips, you will find many shade differences. Some colors have higher variance than others.

A lot of bright colors suffer from variation batch to batch, from age/sun damage, from formula changes, from drying out, etc.

Here's are the gray-to-black colors. the top row are the 4 colors in the color set (grey, showboat grey, charcoal, and black). I excluded Metallic Grey in this example. There are many older solid chips that don't perfectly match those 4 colors.

Hot Pink:
(not my pic and chips so I'm not sure if these are all supposed to be the same color)

I found that I was having the same trouble with my colour samples. I was using the older sample set and the RAT 1000 was Yellow in the old and Canary in the new.

Interesting. I should have kept some of the older sets to compare.

Speaking of which...

FD T1K is Yellow base, while the RA T1K is Canary Yellow base.

I shoulda kept my new samples. I sold off half of them.

And yes Yellow and Canary respectively....or Daisy and Yellow if you ask me. :D

Hey @sleepypiggly what are the differences in age of the hot stamps?
I picked up a small font 77 piece set.
The set had 16 duplicates that if anyone is needing I can help them out with.

Looks like I’m missing these below.
@TheChipVault - is it possible to just get a rack each of these as solids with stamped color names and sell them as singles (or sets of 5 and 6) so people can fill out their 78/83 color sets?

Seems like this is common problem for folks.

*Just to add* Aesthetically I quite like the small font stamp set.

What should it be? 83 or 88?
Apparently it was an estate sale so no info.

If there are any of these colors in the kit, it's likely from the 88 set.
Avocado, Carnation, Light Violet, Pastel Green, and Rubine Red

Otherwise hard to tell. Chips from 83 and 88 are the same from what I saw. 88 colors just had a few more chips.

Oh cheers for that, yeah missing all those with the Mexi Rose, Pale Green, Blue Grain, Pumpkin, Blood Red and Dark Red.
