For those that have done individual orders, what is the price difference? I feel like I would gladly pay it at this point.

I don’t think that company has any intention of completing this order. I’m sure they’re completely fine telling you for another 10 years that they’re almost close to finishing.

I’d suggest just telling them to either move forward with what is approved and refund the rest or just refund everything and we can all just call it a day and give up.

This is beyond reasonable at this point and feels like someone somewhere is stringing someone along.

I'll give them another call on Monday and see what the deal is. It's starting to irritate me as well.

I'll let everyone know Monday morning as soon as I've got some information.

I can’t speak to this year, prices may be way higher (everything seems higher these days).

It was over $3 a cut card last year.
100 cards - $2.98 a card
250 cards - $1.59 a card

I don’t have an individual order, but I’m receiving some here and there piggybacking.

Also, I want to make it super clear I could not care less when I get them, its a cut card.
  • Invoice was paid end of March.
  • Design issues every month since April.
  • Production was done in May.
  • Shipping was in June.
  • Tracking was had in June.
  • Officially in production in July.
  • New delivery date of August.
  • Etc.
I get it. Life happens. And you can’t find a more thankless job than running a GB. They’re cut cards. Idc when they come.

But cmon, this company has not been lying, jerking okku around, communicating they were in production and sent him tracking 3 different times. If that was the case, no one should ever use this company again.

We can all support Okku as a good guy and chipper dealing with WAY more important shit in life - but do we have to dog out an American based manufacturing company and pretend like they’ve had issues and fibbed to us for half a year?

Be Real.

Good point

Answer me this: Has the money we all contributed to the GB been paid out? And if so, is the refund coming from your own pocket?
If it is, then I don't want it. Let it ride. I'm not looking to put a dent in your pocket over $70.

@Okku The silence is deafening.

This would imply you called them at all? All you posted was some text not really saying anything. Did you call them last Monday like you said you would?

Understand how everyone feels, but please remember another member independently contacted the vendor and confirmed payment was made. So it's not fair to assume payment shenanigans.

@Okku My sincerest apology.

I was a huge skeptic, fearing the worst; however I just confirmed with the vendor that this order was placed and paid for.

Not saying you couldn't have communicated progress better, you could have. However, I assumed the worst & I was wrong and for that and my resulting posts I sincerely apologize

How do we feel about spamming the vendor with grievances? Is there a place to leave reviews?

Its gonna be a few weeks, but comparing a single order to this is pretty unfair.
It's fair in the sense that most of these should have been made months ago while waiting to work out details on the few with issues. Then once the issues are resolved, should only be a few days to wrap up production and ship.

I don't think the company lied to us. (to Oscar) But I think they still share some of the blame for this fiasco. For one, my point above. I'll repeat, it's ridiculous that all of the orders that didn't have any problems haven't already been produced.

There was also time they stated the order was "lost?" Communication hasn't been that great. Maybe all the delays are due to Oscar, but I suspect that's not the whole truth. And how is it even possible that there were so many formatting errors? Do they not share any of the blame for that? I'm not a printer, so I have no clue. I think they had our money and just decided to sit on everything until Oscar got every last detail resolved. Maybe this order isn't really all that big to them and they don't really care whether they get repeat orders? None of these are "known" problems with the company, but in totality, it still reflects badly on them too.

I messaged Quicksilver via DM and talked with him.

I did and didn't get much information so you keep asking for more information which I said that I will call again tomorrow.

I do too think that it's pretty wild that none of the already approved cards/designs haven't been done. The way I did stuff at my old job was if something was approved, I would get them going right away. Then, if there was something pending approval, I would wait for that to be approved and then get it done. There's no reason (in my opinion) to wait for the whole order to be approved when there are this many designs just to make sure everything is right. You have the designs and ultimately it was their fault they didn't ask me again to clarify quantities until I asked what was going on with the order, the status and when production was going to start.

I've already said that most of this taking so long was due to me, but once I got all my stuff together, I've been pushing full steam. The last month or two I've been pushing full steam on this project trying to get it done for everyone. The year has been tough, lots of things came up that I wasn't expecting, but I'm getting this done.

I'm calling them again tomorrow to see what's going on and if they can provide me some sort of timeline for production. Information that I receive tomorrow I will share here.

Thx for your effort Oscar! I really appreciate.

But just a suggestion: Don't just ask “if” they can give you an estimated timeline: demand this timeline without any ifs or buts and, if necessary, even specify a deadline! There seems to be no question that this company has no interest in being accommodating with this large order—and to a certain extent, I even understand that it is an unexpectedly tough order for the company. Honestly: In their place, given the extremely complex process so far, I wouldn't have any great ambitions to put everything else on hold to complete this order either.

Just called them, I was answered and the only information I got was that they took my order number down, my contact information and would relay that to the appropriate employee to get back to me.

Mentioned to me that I have a valid concern since nobody has gotten back to me in a week or something like that.

I was emailed this morning by someone else too. Which I’m not sure if she is the project lead now or the person I’ve been talking to is. I emailed both this morning when I woke up and asked what is going on, who is taking over or handling this project and what else is needed if anything.

That’s all I got for now.

Well that’s reassuring

Who do we have on the forum here located in or near Hastings, MN?
If we have someone, that is willing to go to the plant on behalf of @Okku, to ask for a face to face meeting to get some freaking answers, could that help?
It’s just doesn’t feel like there is any real forward movement in the current process. Not being critical Oscar, just saying your emails and calls don’t seem to be effective with these folks.

It's getting to the point that they need to start working on the artwork that's ready this week or demanding a full refund. Without timestamped photos that they're starting production by this Friday, it's time to pull the plug.

Oscar, I give you all the credit for hanging in for this long. I get the sense that you're being strung along. I understand you have a massive amount on your plate. I think it's time you take up the offer of some of these guys and ask for help with managing these people. Someone that has no problem getting on the phone or an email and getting nasty. I would expect no less than production to start in three days, AND a significant discount on our next order, if we chose to do business with this vendor again.
