Honestly, I’d recommend go with a Barrington instead. It’s a folding table so you have that ‘bump’ in the middle, yet it looks like the plywood underneath is to make it a fixed table. So it’s a fixed one piece table with the downside of a folding table and no upside…

You’d probably want to end up refelting or getting a table topper, + buying and installing legs…

For the amount of effort and cost to make it work, although it’s only $70, you’ll spend more and likely wish you just got a Barrington.

Ya for sure I see that. That Costco Barrington here in Canada is going for like $375 with just the blackjack topper and the poker playing surface. They aren't selling much in the warehouse here. Hoping maybe it'll go on sale at some point

No, I think you'd be unstable if you just put legs on it as-is - I think if people leaned on the rail, there would be problems.

Certainly thought about it. I feel like the bar for fugly is much lower than this though lol. I found some gems I thought about posting lol maybe I will later

I rehabbed a couple of table toppers from a charity casino, and they are passable. But unlike this one, they started with a full sheet of 1/2” plywood. I framed it up and added legs to it, and it still flexes way more than I would like. Unless you’re willing to put at least a full 3/4” plywood base on there, it’s not going to hold up to any leaning. At all.

And I’m happy enough with how my tables turned out, but truth be told, I’d much rather start from scratch and do things the right way the first time. Trying to retro fit everything added all kinds of steps to the process, and the tables still have shortcomings stemming from how they were made in the first place

I used something like this for a base then had a Chanman topper over it. It worked.
