Hey everyone,

I've been lurking on the forum for a while now, I've watched a few videos and read a lot of posts and I'm gearing up now to build my first table!

I do really love a lot of the builds I've seen with raised rails, potentially with light strips and diffusers as well.

However, I do have limited space, so I'll need to put folding legs on my table so I can lean it against a wall when not in use.

My question is; is making a raised rail table a bad idea for a table with folding legs? I'm definitely considering adding fold out kickstands of some sort so that the table isn't sitting directly on the floor, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience, or if the raised rail would make storing it this way too impractical.

Thanks! :)

I have a raised rail and folding legs, I don't store it against the wall though. You'll want to look into storing it by hanging it on the wall, little more effort, but it will take up less space and won't hurt the rail. I don't have links but I do know you can find a few solutions, digging through the table forum.

Ah ok, hanging it on the wall is definitely an option.

Do you think installing kickstands would still work and protect the rail? Something like the below (Image taken from another thread that popped up from user trigs):
