I searched and searched. Nothing was quite what I wanted. So...I researched building my own and decided that was the path for me.

The plywood part was very straight forward. The padding, vinyl, and custom playing field are on the way. The base is going to begin tomorrow. No folding legs for me.

Very nice! I am planning on a pedestal base. I think it looks more refined. But I like the monogram in the center of yours. It has an elegance to it. That looks like a great size. What are the dimensions?

Using the free plans from these guys
with some modifications for size and techniques.

Since I used their free plans, I bought supplies from them. Premium vinyl was $90. 70lb foam for the arm rest was $86. Volara foam for the playing surface was $80.

So far, I am in for three sheets of 3/4 birch ply at just over $80 per sheet. I bought some odds and ends like a spiral cut router bit, but do not count that in the cost. Wood screws were about $5 so far. Just bought two cans of Gorilla spray adhesive for $20 each. About to put together the outer rail.
