Can’t see it. Not many people outside of North America watch basketball or baseball or American football. Probably in the same way that not many Americans watch football or rugby or cricket.
True - I added a clarification to be more “recognizable”.

I was thinking in terms of commercials, etc. he’s been in movies, TV shows, etc. And kinda hard to miss him once you’ve seen him - lol.

Surely you jest (or I’m bringing a fking dvd box to syndrome II)
Never seen it. There’s some American shows that do well in the UK and a lot that don’t. I think it’s got a bit of a cult following but nowhere near a lot of other shows.

He’s for sure hard to miss but that doesn’t mean they’ll be able to place him

I’m starting to get why y’all call your finals world series. It’s clearly delusional
Wait,… the world is bigger than the US

Bruce Springsteen has sold 150 million records, performed 3,509 concerts worldwide, and viewed on television appearances by countless millions. Even though he is currently relevant to a likely demographic of 35 year olds and over, I'd still have to give him the win over Shaq.

Well, they do have a track record of fucking up great british shows (yes, the Office is a big one) but Seinfeld is just a classic. I would forgive you if you were 20 years younger

Honestly never seen him in anything. It’s probably the same as Michael Jordan in that he’s 8 feet tall but other than that I wouldn’t have a clue.

We don’t have any American sports people in commercials over here. The only one I can think of was George Foreman.

I did a quick survey of my poker crew and one guy knows who Shaq O’Neil is.

PCF is an older demographic and will skew toward Bruce. Basketball has global reach, and Shaq I would guess is easily top 5 recognizable worldwide. I would say Shaq and that it isn’t close.

Did he just call us old? @BonScot

He’s huge in Japan

Literally- lol.

Basketball is the most popular sport in china and last time I checked China is pretty huge. Not a lot of old white men listening to Springsteen in China

Worldwide: Shaq.

Bruce Springsteen's greatest contribution was pulling Courtney Cox up onto the stage. His music isn't good (personally I think it sucks) & hasn't produced anything in forever. NOT relevant unless your over 60 years old...

Alec Baldwin is top 20 worldwide and all time? Im sorry I cant even read past that, what the fuck.
I got to 59 before I got to one I don’t know. Martha Stewart. Khloe Kardashian. Kobe Bryant. Shaq O’Neill. Lindsey Lohan. Obama Snr. Queen Latifah. Babe Ruth. Selena Gomez. Carrie Underwood. John Quincy Adams.

Then we get to number 160 Sean Connery who I’m sure you all agree should be number one on the list  :ROFLMAO:

After that it’s a bit hit and miss. Probably because I’m getting older and don’t care about celebrities.

It does seem to me to be a very American based list. Got to wonder how the demographic was made up.
