My Journey As A Professional Poker Player (19 Viewers)

I personally didn't like anything about the sucka deala comment. But your humor is your personality, and I'd have to think that if you're going to distinguish your videos from all the other videos, it will be with your personality. So I'd say you do you and see how it goes.

Look, Brad Owen has "Jiggities", I have "Sucka Deala". We all need a catchphrase

This is a bad example because Brad Owen doesn't have a personality.

He's got over 600k subscribers and is the gold standard of poker vlogging success everyone else is hoping to achieve

Although I have noticed in more recent vlogs he's got some mis-reg shining through when he comments on hands his opponrnts show up with

Never cared for the guy at all. There's nothing wrong with him, but I haven't found anything good about him either.
I like Boski

Brad Owen has the best production value no doubt. I liked it better when he was 2/5 as I could relate a bit more, but man....he seems like such a genuine nice guy. Easy for me at least to root for him. The fact he has no fear of talking thru his hands in depth for all the world to see is very impressive. He is making bank these days with his marketability. I am a fan, and like I said, I find it easy to root for the guy doing well and just being a nice approachable guy.

Boski is ok, but his production value is bottom basement. Probably a blast to party with, though. Also tournaments, not the best vlogging material. I mostly watch at work, so not diving in to his strip club stuff, and no way am I watching somebody play online.

THE MOST entertaining guy on the vlog scene was Wes Cutshall, but I haven't seen much from him since COVID. I miss his stuff. Slow Poker is a close second...probably funnier, but the crazy games that Wes played in made him more entertaining.

I also enjoy LexO poker, but PRO TIP: fast forward until he starts playing. His rambling is awful, and I don't want to look at his dog's butt. His poker play talk is good though and worth wading thru his other nonsense.

All the kiddies (Wolfgang, New Kids on the block or whatever their name is, etc.) is OK. They are ok at best, and their enthusiasm and energy levels make me hate them. Fuck youth. Except Mariano....that dude is legend. How the F he went from playing 1/2 to 100/200 in like 4 years is beyond me.

Funny, I’d say the same thing about cash games
Actually just watched a Boski video (WSOP mystery bounty) where he played two hands. He late reg'd and entered with like 25 bigs. Lost both. Busted out both times. Riveting.

Of course, this is not a great example, but it happens quite often with Boski because he late reg's so much.

Ashley Sleeth is a better vlog to watch for tournaments.

She does a great job with her content - agreed. No nonsense and clear.

Ashley Sleethe is a lot of fun to watch, she has great energy and articulates well. I used to watch Lex O but he went through a period where his vlogs were just miserable (if I recall correctly he was going through a downswing) and his negativity just turned me off from continuing to watch.

Brad I find likeable, but I do feel that sometimes lately he's phoning it in with some of the jokes he tries to force into his dialogue. And his move up in stakes and probably just overall fatigue from doing this stuff for years seems to have him vocally coming across a bit mis-reggy towards recreationals who are trying to give him their money but end up taking his in some lucky instances.

Never watched Mariano so can't say much on him. I fucking love Ryan DePaulo, although post-WSOP there's been significant time between his uploads. But he never fails to entertain.

Mariano is my favorite vlogger. Rampage’s tournament content is way better than Boski but rampage somehow wins a lot. Boski is ultimate Mis reg but does make me laugh sometimes. Ryan DePaulo is a clown but When he is authentic it’s fantastic. I enjoy Brad’s dad jokes.

To truly appreciate Mariano, you would have to go back and watch at least some of his oldest stuff to see where he came from. He's not really funny, but he has charm. Always sounds just happy to be here, whether up or down. He has a "it's just money" attitude that is very impressive. I do not have that. To me, poker still feels like success or failure every session. Probably because my wife doesn't believe I'm capable and is just waiting for me to go broke so she can say I told you so.

Well, you were right on the slow poker nod, do I'll give him a go.

For those that have not watched Ashley Sleethe, you are in for a treat.

First off, she's female. Not creeping, even though she is easy on the eyes, it's just refreshing to see a woman succeed in a make dominated anything.

Also, she's a pretty good player but is always working to get better. Get hand breakdown is awesome for this reason.

Lastly, she does a pretty good mix between cash and tournaments.

That escalated quickly. Have you considered a poker the rapist?

Ok, once again this video is unlisted so only visible with a link. I removed the sound and it's just being used to test new card graphics on mobile devices to make sure the visibility is better.

I also added a shadow effect to the headings and underlined them to help them pop a bit better. Hopefully this is a big improvement?

I like it!

Played patient, limp-call a raise. Multiway to the flop, checked to me in the CO I bet pot 125

Original raiser on button calls, utg calls, utg+1 shoves, I reshove, button eventually calls off. I cover both

Good equity with top set, I lose both boards lol. Stuck 700

+1 million

Wes' vlogs were light on analysis but consistently hilarious. He took a long break during COVID (like all poker vloggers did), then started up again and was going pretty strong for a while until he just stopped about eight months ago.

After that he did several late night livestreams that usually pulled in <50 viewers. I tried to watch once, but it was very laid back hand analysis and conversation with viewers - exactly the opposite of what made me a fan of his vlogs.

I'm still subbed, hoping that he'll pick up the vlogs again.

Totally agree with this. I found myself laughing quite a bit when watching his streams. The vlogs from TCH Houston and the home games were really entertaining with tons of action. The live streams were too long and hard to watch for an extended period so I didn't follow those either.

Be careful! Anthony doesn't like it when you talk about Wes...

Made me lol pretty good. Graphics are good!

I don’t think you slow rolled, knowing you were trying to explain the blockers, but maybe from his point of view you should have tabled the cards you played first. But really you tabled them immediately after the 44, so idk he probably just wanted to be salty.

Happy to see poo AAxx hands doing good lol. They’ve wrecked me lately.

I had so much fun with Poker Jeezus flying across the screen shouting "FUCK U A-HOLES!" as I double pair both runouts to scoop the main pot with my shitty Aces after EVERYONE and their fucking brother somehow has a $400 hand preflop lol
