What kinda of Da Vinci were they and where did you get them? The easy to find ones (like on Amazon) all say 100% plastic, so I assume PVC and wouldn't warp like cellulose/acetate cards?

I ordered this Da Vinci Palermo setup (in jumbo index) recently--waiting for it to be delivered this week. Hoping there's no problems with them.

Does anyone know if there's any difference between the above and this Modiano setup?

The back design looks identical, and I know Modiano makes Da Vinci cards, but would they feel the same or different?

I don’t know that I have those exact setups, but I just gout out a setup of davincis and Modianos, and the Davincis feel stiffer. So for what it’s worth, I’d say davincis are made with different stock.

Hey, hope all is well guys! I'm sort of a new member here, just made my account mid last year and started playing poker last February! But since I've started I dug head first into chipping, collecting cards, and making a good environment for my home game. In the past year, I've tried out Copag, Faded Spade, Modiano, and KEM cards. My groups favorite usually change from between the faded spades and the modianos. My favorite are the faded spades, for the modern looking face, card thickness, and durability. The modianos are a great alternative to the faded spades if you want something that is still thick and resistant to bending, while offering a classier looking face. These are all the decks I have right now. The "Six Card Charlie's Gambling Hall" setup are KEMs. I just ordered the 2021 WSOP bridge size setup as well as the desjgn four color bridge size setup, which I'm excited to try. I'll be sure to snag a pic with the new WSOP setup at my home game and give my review on the desjgn setup. Thanks for reading guys!

How do you like those KEMs from Spinettis?

I've never played with any other KEMs, so I can't compare them to the ones being produced now and still need to order a setup but I dont really like the arrow back, I'm just really picky tbh. But they're really nice, they are kind of thin though. Like copag or maybe thinner, and they definitely seem to want to bend or crease or bow at times. They seem more of a blackjack card. I don't play with them much though. But I got them because I really like borderless cards that casinos use, but plastics with bordlerless seem harder to fine. Gemaco has a few options on kardwellinternational.com that seem nice as well. So I'll be buying a setup of those soon. But all in all they're super nice!! I'd pick up a deck!

I’ve got a couple of those six card Charlie KEM setups from Spinettis. They’re pure KEM goodness. I’ve still never handled consumer KEMs, so I don’t know is there’s any truth to the speculation that Casino KEMs are better, but these are just as flexy-amazing as every other casino KEM that I’ve handled.
They’re a good deal for KEMs, if you like poker size, standard index. They come cellophane wrapped, but the cellophane seems to have degraded over the 20+ years since the casino closed - one deck I got was scattered throughout the shipping envelope - likely exploded in transit. But they were still in mint condition, and most importantly, not warped or bowed.

Thanks, I think I get few sets, love full bleed cards... Trying to figure out how to beat shipping costs

My googlefu is lacking, what model Modianos are those in the picture with the smaller info in the corner? Those would work well playing larger games on my dining table.
Also in love with faded spades, have to pick up a deck or two soon!

I’d say it’s a pretty bad deck of modianos too. Has anybody tried playing with those weirdo indexes? I’m pretty sure I sold that deck without ever using it. I think it was just one of those big ideas that didn’t work well in real life. I suppose if you’re a bunch of 20somethings with perfect eyes, maybe? I dunno.

I did, and with the exact cards that person pictured. It was fun for a minute, tolerable for a hour, a pain the rest of the night, and then they started falling apart in the boxes! They are really REALLY BAD, and I recommend everyone stay away from those particular cards.

i purchased mine from the eBay link i posted above

i dont ever look at the indexes tbh, i just really like the casino borderless backing and the thickness of the cards, personally i dont like the indexes either, but it doesnt deter me from using them! if there is some without the index that have the same blue and red casino like monogram backing id love to be linked!

Go for full bleed Trefl or Copag Export
