Best deck of plastics (5 Viewers)

Without doubt...the Cartamundi casino (Belgian stock) are the new king to beat.

Beste combo of price, durability & feel/finish...availability could be an issue in US, but not over here.
Still trying to contact Cartamundi direct to get a GB going for these.

The new EPT cards (Fournier) are also great...but more expensive and have to use them in a few games before final judgement.

Bridge size wise, love the Alpha Casino cards from @gulaschkanone (Modiano) but same 'issue' as Piatnik...ink fades fast but great deck for the price.
Still looking for the perfect bridge cards.

KEMs Circle or Alpha

KEMs Circle or Alpha

Done with KEM (this was the last setup I ordered
Price is too high and all tend to warp

These were the ones from Cyprus...did send you a link mate (see PM).

Club casino setup (B/B), got 2 and both in the same condition.

Here

Why intresting ?

The wrap looks different than usual. And thanks for link but I still have a plenty of KEMs (even pre USPCC Casino Club and Galaxy)
I love KEMs. Granted with time they become little rubbery but if I have set thats 8 yo, and still playable it is hard to beat.

If KEM would replace warped decks or stop it from happening...I would start buying KEM again.

Love the feel & flex, durability....but it's always swing and a miss for me.
And they can't compete on price level with so many other great cards out there.

I can buy twice the amount of Piatnik/Fournier/Cartamundi decks or 4 times the amount of Alpha Casino decks for one KEM setup
And don't have to worry about warped decks.

You have some strong points. Well, I did not have much problems with warping over the years. And Piatnik?...I like they cards but remember plastic being shit. Try Trefl, good cards but only in poker size

My Copag 3 of hearts literally chipped and cracked at one corner the first time I played it. It just slide across the table and hit a rack of chips and just gave up on me.

The only good thing about Copags (in my opinion) is that they are relatively cheap and easy to find. Fournier is great, and after a recent group buy I can say Kings (they are from Australia) are my favorites.

I do not like Copags because they sliperry, lose ink easly (especially in high humidity) and almost as ugly as Gemaco.. Having said that I have to state that they have one big advantage over any other brand. They are still decent cards and you can buy them everywhere, even in Poland if you need plastic cards you can buy them in malls and game shops. They even more accesable than our own Polish brand.

IMO the issue with Kem seems to come down to storage environment. Now, why they seem to be effected more than any other brand, I have no idea.

I've never had a deck of Kems warp. But then, they're stored on an open shelf in a climate controlled office, (consistent temp & humidity) tightly packed in the case to keep them flat.

Of course, now that I found Cartamundi's Belgium-made Casinos, I likely won't be buying many Kems anymore either. :D

As for Copag. Their issue is they made a card with the flex of a top shelf acetate card out of cheaper PVC. Which means they had to make the base stock pretty thin. PVC being more brittle than acetate, leads to the cracking issue.

fwiw some modianos come warped out of the box (only poker size i've seen have this) depending of what stock you got.
its kind of a gamble with these depending on when they were produced.
it feels like they sometimes have plastic that tends to a a little thicker or thinner, if u get the slightly thinner ones they sometimes are warped from factory that makes them feel pretty unpleasant.

Look for review on Modianos on Redneck Data Base, that was discussed. As far I remember there are 3 to 4 different stocks Modiano cards are made of. This relate to consumer cards sold in retail. Custom orders for clubs and casinos may differ from that.

i've seen different modiano cards from one casino, which were always supposed to be same but come different with every new order.
the differences in plastic thickness are feelable and visibly warped with the slightly thinner decks

Does anyone know if the the Ferrari Playing cards that used to be sold in the Ferarri stores are Modiano and 100% plastic. Thanks

Copag's are OK.... but just that... OK.

My issue with Copag is durability. No surprise really, given that they're PVC but made thin enough to have the flex-feel of more expensive acetate decks.

If you're looking for "acetate on a budget", the closest you'll come to that are Modiano's "Texas Poker" line or DaVinci.
The Modiano Texas Poker line is PVC according to their website.

Missing black and grey
@surfik thanks for letting me know. Fortunately I don't have OCD or else I would have to get the decks. The company selling these decks on Amazon had an 8 Pack of Multi Colored Decks and I didn't see black or gray or else I would of added those on.

Where do you get these?

I've got a couple setups of Cartamundis, and they're really nice if you don't want to spend a ton. $12 shipped if you have Prime.

Bicycle Prestige seem to be pretty good, too.
@QuailValley, thanks for liking my post. Out of curiosity, I clicked the link and bought 3 setups for $36 landed! :D

I can buy 3 Modiano or Dal Negro decks in Greece for the price of one KEM.
