Looking to join in on a small Tina group. I need to order 1,800 chips, 39mm, 2 denoms. My art work is ready. Thanks!

I forget, the label is not an actual label but is printed on the face of the chip, correct?

Correct- the chips are 100% printed ceramics. Although the do sell hybrids with a label.
Has there been a group buy in the past with the hybrid labelled ceramics made by the same vendor?
I'd be interested in checking some out or if somebody has the link to the Alibaba page perhaps?

Edit: Actually found some that you posted some pages back in this same thread. They look good.

Tina sent me some samples. I posted some photos somewhere. No one that I know of had ordered a set yet from Tina. The concern that some people mentioned was that the inlay recess was too shallow and/or the labels too thick so they were worried about spinners. Someone else I believe is working with them on a custom hybrid mold where the recess will be deeper.

Deeper recess = no spinners and removable custom inlay labels? And who is this someone?

I think it's BGinGA, if I'm recalling reading correctly in a separate topic. Seems to be a 43mm hybrid with a custom mold, outer ring, and deeper recessed area. I'm looking to contribute artwork mockups for this if possible. Would be a sick project and would make for a really great chip.

I don't think we know what the status of this is though. Just said "later in the year" a few months back.

Correct

And who is this someone?

That would be this someone:

Only problem I noticed with the Chinese hybrids is that the center recess seems to have been made with the unlaminated labels in mind -- the textured laminated labels are totally flush with the chip surface when perfectly applied, which means any misalighment at all creates spinners. This is not an issue if using the unlaminaed matte-finish labels.

I'm planning on creating a custom 43mm hybrid mold with debossed circle/images, a 25mm recess (deep enough to handle their laminated labels), and matte-finish rolling edges for a group buy project later this year.

Yes, I’ve been holding off placing a 43mm cards mold order until I can see what the custom mold hybrid option would look like. But I haven’t seen anything for a while now.

It might look off a tad bit if the inlay sticker printing quality is drastically different than the print on the chip. IDK we'll see how it goes.

Will there be a 39mm "molded hybrid" option? @BGinGA

Doesn't the new Anita mold edges have inward "vaccine scars", but Tina's original mold have protruding dots?
Tina's original mold also has crocked stripes on the edge right?

If so, Anita's mold looks better.
I'm in for 600 to 700 chips. I'm in U.S.A.
I contacted J25 and I'm waiting for his reply on my design.

Those innies and outies are only really noticeable in close up pictures. They’re barely a blip in person (both in look and feel), at least for the two sample stacks of cards mold chips I have.

It seems like more people prefer Tina over Anita, but if someone owns neither, either are a great affordable option for custom chips.

Question for those who own a set made up of chips from both Tina and Anita: is it easy to tell the difference when mixed together and is it distracting?

And they prefer Tina because Anita's colors are matte and Tina's are glossy? Or why do they prefer them?

There is a thread somewhere that compares most of the differences. And you'll find a little more throughout the forum.
I already read it. Tina's color some times have spotting and often stripes are misaligned; whereas Anita's colors don't have spotting and the stripes are always aligned as well.
How are Tina's chips better? Both of those look like manufacturing problems. (unless there's a new improvement I haven't read about)
