Hookers and drugs for half. The rest I’d waste.
Has the question changed from the one in the OP?Hookers and drugs for half. The rest I’d waste.
100% if you invested in some of the major companies that are players in the cannibis market now once the Federal Government legalizes it your investment will Skyrocket like nothing anyone has ever seen. I believe the companies that also produce the technology in the growing of cannibas will grow your investments exponentially also.Cannabis
This is called "speculation".once the Federal Government legalizes it
I’ve never had a puff of weed in my life due to fear of overdose and addition. So I am no weed apologist. However, legalization seems inevitable at this point. I do agree it’s a bad investment though mainly because you can grow it yourself and competition exists from 100000 places. Any financial success would rely are artificial government monopoly which will be impossible to enforce. This is called "speculation".
It's a worthy part of any investment portfolio, but only an imbecile would dump their life savings into cannabis. There is zero indication that it will be legalized in the US in our lifetime. Could it be? Sure. But to get on a message board recommending that someone invest a million dollars?
You'd make a better case recommending investing in a dice-chip company. Nobody here is stupid enough to do that.
You can trade for stuff without money, just saying money isn’t everything, it’s just an agreement among ourselves to store value. It facilitates transactions for sure. But there are 100000000 ways to do business without money if your talking about “competition” among the best ways to store value.I’ve never had a puff of weed in my life due to fear of overdose and addition. The money to be made from cannabis is not the current stoners. The real money is everyone else who may or may not use it now, and all those that will start once it becomes legal. You can trade for stuff without money, just saying money isn’t everything, it’s just an agreement among ourselves to store value. But you have to ask yourself, is a stoner going to spend $20 on weed now or buy some seeds and wait 6 months for what’s left of the plant to produce? I think most have the logic that “I’ll budget some money for weed every week because it’s easier than growing it”.
Not exactly known for their patience or their planning abilities, but hey, stoners, what you gonna do?
People can brew their own beer for sure, and do everywhere, but the big - and small - brew companies seem to do just fine. So do the distilleries. I have a still and I still buy liquors.
How do you figure? I would think online poker would be inevitable, but it's been 10 years. The Justice department has already said it was acceptable. A dozen websites are dying to get in, and still, the majority of the country is left staring at a blank monitor.legalization seems inevitable at this point

I would like to hear specifically what cannabis companies you think you can make a killing from right now. I've been following this space for about 4 years. Got into a few of the Canadian companies just before it was legalized up there. Most are down 75% or more since then. Small, speculative investments, not life changing amounts. On the other hand, I've made good money on two companies that do not sell cannabis, but that support the industry. One most of you have heard of - Scotts Miracle-Gro. ( SMG) Yep, the grass (100% if you invested in some of the major companies that are players in the cannibis market now once the Federal Government legalizes it your investment will Skyrocket like nothing anyone has ever seen. This isn't the reason it's a bad investment. It's a bad investment because it will eventually just become a commodity, and there is not a lot of money investing in companies that produce commodities.I’ve never had a puff of weed in my life due to fear of overdose and addition. Well, that time period half a dozen states have legalized it, Sheldon died, and sports betting had been more or less legalized everywhere. I’d say 5 years over/under.How do you figure? I would think online poker would be inevitable, but it's been 10 years. The Justice department has already said it was acceptable. When discussing investments, you must have some sort of conceivable timeline for your returns. Otherwise you may as well just put it in an index fund with a DRIP.
Adelson died? Holy shit! Fuck yeah!!! I'm gonna eat like a king tonight in celebration!I clicked like, because anytime I read that Sheldon Adelson died, it makes me happy.
50% BTC, 30% ETH, 20% LTC
To the moon!
"Looking back" are the two most ignorant words I have ever read in a thread discussing "investing".ETH has 4x'd and BTC up 50%. The only one looking back that I would have added was Solana. Pretty sure the price point was around $3 before it blew up this summer. Everyone is still early!

.No kidding. Looking back, I would have bought 5000 shares of Microsoft at $33 instead of only 160."Looking back" are the two most ignorant words I have ever read in a thread discussing "investing".
Looking back, I would have bet $1,000,000 on 7-2 off suit, that time the flop came over.
Just think how bad that investment advice sounds to a man thinking about a million dollars.![]()

One my coworkers is involved in this. Let’s just say on paper it looks great in practice your horse develops weird lung issues and spends a few months getting crazy treatments and then you give up on it. The whole claims race thing is interesting though. A very weird world and I think most of the people making the money are the trainers and horse caretakers. Kinda like the biggest winners in 1/3 poker are the dealers and the house.Buy a couple of thoroughbred race hosses.

But I would immediately divide it up into useable parcels and let local entrepreneur farmers use it for free and so I don't pay taxes on the land, and they supply me with year round free food.
Plan B, invest in vertical farming.
