US/CAN BATCH 5 ADD ONS No new sets. (7 Viewers)

BTP tribute is done by my Friend, I will need to ask him if he willing to open to public first

Also we from Singapore so there will need to be a GB or some sort with someone from US willing to start if not there will be a big shipment cost from China to US for small order
I’m in too let’s make this happen on the US side. Fingers crossed your friend will let us

If anyone doesn't want their Aria cash chips, you got an easy quick sale right here ;)
I'm pretty sure my GB was the first to have actual Aria's cash chips. What Sean has in this GB are some smaller denom chips in the same style as the original tournament chips. Also, these smaller denom chips and the T100K were not designed by @Johnny5 so will probably not color match with the ones from my GB.

Correct me if I'm wrong on any of this.

So here's the side by side I promised. Old chip (batch ???) on the left, new batch 5 chip on the right.

As I mentioned before, the printing on the newer chips appears sharper, and the background is less grainy/mottled. Also, the printing didn't get down into the "inlay" ring on the old chips like it does on the new ones. All changes for the better IMO.

Also, did anyone else notice that the batch 5 chips are on a new mold? The cards on the batch 5 chips are slightly skinnier and have rounded corners.
I somehow missed your post last week. Thanks for posting the comparison. Someone mentioned previously that the chip edges are more rounded on the newer batch. Do they look that way to you?

Yes, they do seem slightly more rounded. I'll add an edge picture later.

Batch 5 on the left, older batch on the right.

I don't notice a difference in how rounded the edges are, but the edges on the older batch are definitely glossier. Also, the batch 5 chips seem to be slightly smaller in diameter than the older ones. In the second picture, batch 5 is on the right:

Lol. Not to come across as a buzzkill, but unless you guys got permission from the actual Big Top artist to re-use the artwork, this is a pretty ironic statement imo.
Hmm is it really even for BTP? Any idea who the BTP artist? I now really have no idea on what is okay what is not okay for card mold now

Isn't relabel of BTP on other chip is a thing too, are they not allow too? we have done the BTP from scratch indeed as a BTP tribute set for a reason

Change the name?? Go Semi custom like the mapes

PCF Top Poker

Maybe??

May do jus that but I really want it to stay true to its original design, let hope someone can help to advise on it. We even try to capture the detail of the chip like how the Top flag color tribute for example

It one thing for Real Casino as they are a Brand on its own itself

Sorry Sean. Not time or place for this argument.

I put a lot of work into making my Mapes tribute "Apes" chips - especially around drawing the gorilla and recreating the word hotel. I would be mightily pissed if someone just outright copied them. But if someone asked if they could make a set, I'd probably say yes.

Same goes for The Lint!

O
I think there’s a distinct difference between a tribute and a blatant copy. YMMV.

To me, this is a tribute:

This is a copy:

Yes I didn’t realise that tribute is not replicate, I am a new chipper that still don’t know about that when we first start the project months ago.

I had since message Toby in order to discuss on any prospect of this project on going.

I never foreseen it will trouble other which is far from my original intention

Thanks for the head up and I am glad full for the feedback
