Hi everyone, I am thinking of buying 50c chips for a cash set I'm building. It is a Jack Cincinnati set. Do you have any good suggestions on 50c chips? I was thinking even single colour hot stamped chips might be cool to use in a cash set. Perhaps something without a casino name and just the 50c stamp on the chip? What do you reckon?

You can use Starburst solid THC or 50c Hotstamp Solid THC as your fracs

That what i using as my frac for my jacks, it will be shared among all my (future) set  :whistling:

Very nice. This is exactly what I was thinking of. Did you buy some or are you just planning to?

Find some solid hot-stamped RHCs, have them milled by @Josh Kifer, order some JACK Cinci inlays from @Gear and, as my Dad would say, "Bob's your Uncle."
That's another way of going about it. I wouldn't mind just a plain solid plain chip with the 50c stamped in it. It wouldn't bother me at all if it didn't have the Jack Cincinnati label on it.

Those red 50c chips are perfect. Were they hard to find or are they common enough?

That's true. Any nice suggestions that would tie in with my set?

any solids would work. But only issue is finding RHC solids is harder than THC solids.

post photo of your whole set and im sure people will find the right color you need and will help out

I haven't received my set yet. It's in the post. It's a Jack Cincinnati set.

Finding original Casino used RHC Hot Stamp fracs is very hard to do. HSI had a blue quarter. There are a few racks of Blue Casino ? Something that are spotted blue quarters. St. CROIX casino had a yellow RHC quarter. I own the Paragon Casino in Florida yellow quarters. But unfortunately don't have a very good picture

There are some peach $.50 for Kennel Club + Casino from Florida, Histler club from Cali that has an orange $.50, a day green from Oceans 11 Casino in Washington, and a couple Canadian Casinos Including an awesome Orange (green/brown) Mc. PHILLIPS Station casino and the Club Regents that look kind of like this

Had to evict those Blurple $.50s Cactud Jack's above because the were THC and it was a bit tilting. Not the perfect frac for the set but it works as long as you don't play the Orange $3 chips (sad face, my favorite chip in the set)

Good luck on the hot stamp hunt! Pretty cool stuff!

If I remember when I get home I can post some pictures of the other RHC fracs that I know of, I have singles of a few!

Thanks a lot. That's a very detailed and helpful reply. Those Club Regent chips are beautiful. Very unique. Are they hard enough to track down? If you could post a few pictures whenever you get a chance that'd be great. The whole RHC and HC thing doesn't bother me too much.... mostly because I don't really know what it means!! :ROFL: :ROFLMAO:Something to do with the molds and the way the cane is pointing?

Starbursts! Cheap, clean, perfect!

That's very true. They do the job nicely and can be designated as what you need them to be based on the game. The purple works well with your set but I would be thinking a different colour for my own set. The Jack Cincinnati black is black so might clash a bit.

Hmm both in this pic.

If you look at the Blurple $.50 here there is a ring around the outside of the Hats. Those are THC, mush stronger and less susceptible to damage. To many the superior poker chip. The yellows are RHC, no ring around the outside, the hats are very close to the edge and much easier to damage and get flea bites. Two very different feeling and looking chips.

Can you mix them? Sure, but many choose not to.

Relabeling some solid color tournament chips is a good option. They are relatively cheap and available.

I see. Good to know. Are the RHCs easy to damage in general or just relative to the THCs?

That's an option too. They seem to be more inexpensive.

RHCs are more prone to damage yes. But mostly from dropping them, slamming them into pots. These chips make it years in casinos, but they are clay composite...

So I went and checked the ole Frac case

Sorry my pictures suck! Lol here is what I found for RHC fracs...

On the left is a promo chip and a sweet $.20 frac! Both RHCs! More options than I thought actually

Only thing I have a few of

Found this one hiding upstairs

Definitely I would say harder to find playable quantities of RHCs than THCs... not that I am an expert but I do own a few racks of THC Hot Stamped Quarters.

Also if your looking for a quick fix while hunting a hot stamp frac, @ReallyGoodUsername has a bunch of RHC chips available that can be milled to take an inlay. And there's another thread on the forum I'll find it in a min with some house mould fracs that are newly released

@HaRDHouSeiNC might know of a few more RHC options... but again finding them in quantity is no easy task!!
Yup the OEM fracs RH&C are tough to find
It’s a long job
Easier is find some chips RH&C not in your set color and murder and relabel
