Coffee for me is just a hygenic tool, to help me get rid of bodilly functions in the morning at home, and not have to deal with them at work.
I almost never drink any of that crap while on vacations.
At any rate, it should be double Espresso, either hot in winter or ice-cold in summer.

I remember shocking a Scandinavian interlocutor once, by honestly telling him that the classic Greek breakfast consisted of ice-cold coffee and four cigarettes

Slow response (I missed this when you asked about two months ago), but I have a Behmor 2000AB. It looks like a toaster oven, but has a two-speed drum, chaff catcher, and allows for manual or semi-automatic roasting.

I like it, though it has a bit of a learning curve. It's 110v 15A and doesn't have a ton of power, so it's not appropriate for very dark roasts or batches more than 1lb. But overall, I'm happy with it, and I've gotten better, more consistent roasts than I used to get with a heat gun or stovetop popper.

Price-wise, it's probably middle of the pack for dedicated home roasters at about $500.

Yeah, it is. I dabbled with a stovetop popper ($30) and a heat gun (I already owned it but $35ish if I'd had to buy it). I was getting decent results, but I wanted to be able to get a little more consistency, I wanted something that would get rid of chaff flying everywhere, and I wanted to be able to have a little more control over temperature and time.

I could have stepped up to something like a Fresh Roast ($200ish), but I wanted to be able to roast larger quantities than 4oz, so I spent a bit more. Honestly, you can get pretty good coffee with a heat gun and a metal bowl or a sifter.

And I probably get back about $6-9 for each pound I roast myself. I get green beans for roughly $6/lb rather than paying $12-15/lb for decent locally roasted coffee. I still buy it occasionally anyway.

Between work and home, I go through about 10 pounds a month, sometimes 15.

I drink Black Rifle Coffee Company Beyond Black blend. Fantastic coffee and great company. I am a member of the coffee club with them which gives you a nice discount and free shipping for the bulk 5lb bags.

No joke, I drink between 108oz-128oz of coffee a day. No cream or sugar, just black.

Always knew I was the worst but now I know for sure. I have at least one of each thing (plus an Aeropress) and use each one about once a fortnight. Except the bottom right thing, doesn't look familiar but guessing it is a Nespresso type pod thing?

Yea basically any pod coffee machine like a Keurig

I have the top 3, but drip coffee is 90% of what I drink. Espresso 9.5%. French press seldom. It feels wasteful because it uses the most grinds per coffee ratio

My daily drinker is a Clever Dripper, but I don't subscribe to the New Yorker.

Aeropress once in a while but I'm upgrading that soon to a real espresso machine. And I'll admit to being weak of will and using the Keurig at work occasionally when I'm desperate for caffeine.

I put whatever grounds are on sale into my 30 year old Mr. Coffee, with cold water. Whatever comes out is delicious with sugar and half and half.

That dumbass just ordered a coffee grinder.
Better late than never.

Can't recall the exact bag we had, due for another one in the very near future though. It's really good

I’ve always wanted a French press. What did you get? And you still like it?

I have a couple of Bodum French presses and they are great. One is a smaller 4 cup model and the other is a larger 8 cup I believe

My kids were adopted from Ethiopia. We travelled there 13 years ago to pick them up and have been back numerous times although not recently due to war and political tension.

We purchased an authentic jebena (coffee pot) and will do coffee ceremony for special occasions. Our good friends who we met because of our girls are first generation Ethiopian immigrants and when we visit them we will have coffee ceremony.

It is very tasty coffee for enthusiasts. Very strong, fresh roast on the beans.
