My Journey As A Professional Poker Player (19 Viewers)

We see a flop with :as::ts::8s::8h:

Board :9c::8h::6c:

Newer middle aged guy who bought in max and limped MP bets 15, we call with position, everyone else folds

Turn :7s:

He bets 50, we call

River :qd:

He bets 100. We sigh call, he turns over :jh::tc::9h::3s: and wins
Oof, brutal river card. I might have been able to find a fold after that, but after that turn is tough.

With the nuances of PLO its even tougher to get away from it. Villain did a great job at extracting some value there. If this was NLHE, if I'm villain, I get crafty depending on the opponent and over bet the pot to look like I'm trying to steal it. The right opponent would pay that off thinking I was full of it.

He's ahead on turn too, river didn't really change anything

Just got caught up in a big hand with nfd, nut straight draw plus two pair

My opponent flopped the nut straight

River slowed him down but I paid a big turn bet to draw and whiffed.

LAG raises to 25 in EP, one caller, we pot holding :ac::ad::ks::7c:

LAG only caller, has 190 behind, less than the size of the pot

Flop :4d::5d::6d:

We pot, he snaps with :js::td::8d::8h:

We pair the :4h: on turn for a sweat, but the :5c: doesn't save us

I play live, not online, so don't really track those stats.

I had a super nit call me a loose player, but I view myself as pretty nitty
You must have some sense of how many hands you’re playing!

Some days I can fold for hours
When I attempt to do that as a host, in order to play optimally, I get comments, partly humorous and partly serious, like "play some poker you asshole, we might pay for your lousy sausages and coke and scotch".:D
Different factors coming in, in various situations.

It's a lot different in a home game. In the casino more noise and activity

Here is the equity of the LAG who called off almost half his stack pre against me. Change his paired 8's to a :9d: and at least he's 40%

Didn't go my way this time, but he's been stacked multiple times today so hoping I get the opportunity to get him next

Arrived and the 2/2 is running, got on the list. The 5/5 just called, got a seat short-stacking it.

Mr 8753 is in the mix with a max buy of 2500. Guy on his left with 1500 and myself and the others all on 500 minbuys

Good luck - it sounds like you are going to be getting it all-in pre in the next few minutes.

Button straddles to 20, we call in SB with :kc::kh::7s::5c:

BB makes it 90, CO calls, button calls, we rip 470 all-in

BB repots and we go twice. He has QJT9 and makes 2 pair on 1st board, but I hold 2nd board to chop
