Sun-Fly chips are either hybrid (smooth ceramic with a label [Polyinno]), full-face printed artwork on ceramic (textured [Polychrom]), or some kind of franken clay/ceramic composite (Polyclay).
Don't compare the first two to Paulsons; they are VERY DIFFERENT. And as for quality, it depends on what you are comparing it to. I've personally only handled Polyinno and Polychrom, and I have to say that I really like their Polyinno chips. As for Polychrom, I believe I would rather go to a vender like BRPro Poker and get full-face dye sub artwork chips from them at a fraction of the cost.
You're looking at 3 completely different chip manufacturing technologies from a single source (SunFly) and they are quite distinct. I would get samples before you pull the trigger.
If it helps, I can send you a few Polyinno chips to give you an idea of what they feel like. Just send me a PM.
Full disclosure:
- I love Paulson chips; I have about 6000
- I still have Sun-Fly chips in my collection; and if there is ever another group-buy, I might get more
- I would most likely not get their Polychrom chips since I am head-over-heals in love with most of BRPro's offerings
