Passed out for a bit while putting the kids to bed after a few glasses of wine with dinner then the flight after that. Think the RC6 was my favorite FAE was probably second and PKxyz V2 (whatever it is) was last.

Lol.

Neck pour....!....!....!

OUTSTANDING. AMAZING. BEST BOURBON I HAVE EVER HAD. Good Lord.

Crushing depth, dark chocolate, cherry, graham,......basically the BEST bourbon I have ever had. I was about to become a rye guy.....but then, THIS tonight.

What other BTAC have you had? I’m always curious how folks compare GTS to Larue Weller.

Picked up a spare to my spare to my spare Willett FE 4 YO rye. Couldn't pass it up at $55. It was a consolation prize to the GTS that I was hoping to wheel and deal on, but alas, it had already been sold.

BTW...what is a fair price for Old Fitz 9 YO BiB?

Can't find it around here but Boozapp says.......

DAMN. That is as close as the end of Rocky III

Ultimately I give it to 4 for the better whiskey. I lean toward 4 for nose AND palate AND finish.

However, 2 is $100 cheaper...

Ultimately they are BOTH SUPERIOR Ryes IMO.

THEY ARE BOTH OVER PRICED AS SHIT THOUGH.

I would love to pay $100 for #2 and up to $140 for #4 (YEAH, I wish). Outstanding....both!!

They have that Rhetoric collection around me for $1999. So overpriced! When the 25 came out it was $150 and was the most expensive of the run. 6x$150=$900...$1100 for a fancy box? Nah...
It doesn’t even have old blowhard, whoop and holler, and a few others... hard pass

Note: A poker buddy dates the editor of a fancy gourmet magazine, and she will only drink Widow Jane. I think it’s only OK; I like to support local distilleries,* and this is in my region.

* unless they produce absolute garbage, like most small distilleries in the Hudson Valley. WJ and Hillrock are a cut above. Another poker buddy started making brandy on his farm, but is years away from producing anything of quality.

“I will only drink ______.” — Me, never

A college roommate once came home with a bottle of Thunderbird which he boasted he had gotten for half price. Reason why: A bum had come into the store, opened the bottle, taken a swig, and run out.

That day, I vowed only to drink bottles which had not been previously sampled by hobos.

Yeah, I’m kind of a snob like that.
