That's a slot chair. It's taller. I picked up two of them brand new for super cheap off FB marketplace. (lead from @MegaTon44, the seller was in DE) It is temporary. I ordered this HD 24/7 use stool from Concept Seating.

I use one of their other chairs for my desk in the other room. Expensive but worth every penny to me.

The funny thing is that I use poker chairs for my slot machines because I had the stands made lower. The basement ceiling is only 7' 6".

What is going on with the base of this chair? The high side looks like a bruise waiting to happen. Is it supposed to work as a leg or foot rest?

When I saw the picture, I was thinking you could rotate the foot rest depending on your leg length/comfort, and therefore it's basically two height settings.

Lol... footrest. If it doesn't work out well, I can see about swapping the footrest for this style.

It seems to be fully adjustable. From the manufacturer:

With our upcoming vacation to Florida most of the Islands we will be visiting seem like biking is the best mode of travel and sight seeing. Also planning one of those days to spend in the Everglades national park which has many bike trails. Ft. Zacary Thomas SP in key west is also bike friendly so Brie and I went out and bought some cheapey do bikes

Amazon had a deal on these back in July 2020. They were 99 cents after the $24 discount. The catch was only one per account so I had some friends and family get one for me. Finally collected them all. Been using one for the WPT neon clock that I have and plan to use 4 on my slot machines. The 6th one for some under shelf lighting on the new workbench.

I have a few of these, I like how it has a sideways profile and the button on the side is also easy to access. That’s a great deal!

Yeah its been ugly for a few weeks now. I feel bad getting such a nice car during such shit weather but it's unavoidable in New England anyways.
 
In snowy conditions do AWD cars handle better than SUVs or is it mostly about the tires? I’m a Texan so very little snow experience

I'd rather have any AWD car then a non AWD SUV or truck. The additional traction you gain is incredibly helpful when you're trying to park or get your car out of a spot and there's snow under the tires. I can sit there watching FWD cars slide for 3 minutes after shoveling and I just drive right over the snow without any shoveling lol. If you have AWD with good snow tires you're borderline driving as if things were normal compared to other cars.
