Water heater replacements are never fun but to have one last 36 years is pretty amazing! Even better that it died without leaking.

Got lucky, no damage just went out. It's crazy, the new one will email or text me when it senses a leak.

Super lucky that it didn’t do the old fashioned “hey I’m done and I’m destroying your ground floor same time” method. I like that the new ones give you a heads up before that happens. Very cool.

We swapped ours out with a tankless heater a couple years ago. Highly recommended.

I was going to go tankless but needing an electric water heater I was going to have to upgrade the electrical and I just didn't have time to do that right now.
Check your water quality too before just plopping one in. Extremely small heat transfer tubes clog up easy from deposits. Flushing it once or twice a year with vinegar or other buildup reducing agents helps too. I installed a water softener for mine to help be proactive and eliminate problems.

+1. Very important. Combination of pex pipe, softener, and flushing the system regularly will make your life much easier.

1 person assembled. lol. The hardest part was carrying the 96" x 36" maple butcher block top from the garage to the basement.

Got this sweet ass chair today, direct from Secret Lab.

**AHEM! I'm not into Game of Thrones, but one day, when poker returns, this will be my chair and the dragon lends itself to the Dragonball Z theme on my table.**

For now, my poker room is a PS5 den. The poker table has been sacrificed as a gaming desk for now. Sucks, but that's Covid.

My first impressions....

Worth EVERY penny spent! It did cost more than a few of them...

That’s a very creative cover up story and hefty purchase to make it believable. We all know you’re playing with those Hot Wheels in the corner. Why you gotta lie?!

The full grim reality of my Covid era poker room...

Yep, you called it, Hot Wheels kiddie heaven bro! He owns the joint now...

Kids have a natural tendency to move into space that was once open and plant their flag with their toys.

This was my small little slice of hockey paradise when my wife and I first moved into the house and when our son was an infant. Was.

When it comes to durability and comfort in chairs, money leaves my wallet with ease. LOL

I'm curious if these are more of a toy or if they become your primary means of transportation for you during the winter months?
Just for fun for most people, some use them for transportation outside of the cities. We needed one to get to our remote property in the winter.
