Dayumn that first one is a hammer!! I will have to find some photos. A few years back we were down in NC in Atlantic beach (my favorite place on eart to fish!) We went out with the local legend, flounder fishing bottom bumping with gulp alive baits... my cousin caught a 46" redfish, i caught a 48". The captian said its average to hear about one or 2 of these monsters caught around there each season but never 2 in one day!!
The locals were having a flounder competition that day... we pulled in to see how it was going! We were told a 2.5 pound fish would take over $6,000 for the win!
We had a 6 pound, a 4.5 pound and 8 all over 2.5 in the boat at the time!! Unfortunately we were not entered in the competition!!
But!! That's not my favorite fishing there! We go out on the flats at low tide and catch fiddler crabs and then on the incoming we go under the bridges to fish for sheeps head! My absolute favorite thing to do!! And I love flounder fishing... but nothing like catching a 10 plus pound sheeps head! The fight is insane!!
Best of luck with the setup buddy!!
