Official Fit Competition (Sept 7 - Nov 30) (5 Viewers)

P.S. @Ben8257 almost 10% of your body weight in 14 days?!?! Seriously impressive number!
It's not that good. The week before when we started talking about this Brie and I started cutting back. Only really been trying 2 weeks but yes I feel much better already!! Really looking forward to being back below 250, I don't even care if I win. If I do I just want to keep my ante, if I loose it's ok too. Just happy to be headed in the right direction thanks to you guys!!

Still an impressive drop! Keep it up!!

@BarrieJ3

you set this up, you need to weigh in!

Separately, did we decide how we’re doing ties which look very likely. Probably the easiest one is to make either # or % the tiebreaker

Officially under 250 pounds!!! Ok its 248 but 30 pounds gone is awesome!! Brie bought me a scrub donkey long sleeve last year in x large.... I was laughing when it came in... couldn't even get it over my shoulders... it's still a bit fitting and snug, but I'm wearing it!!

I was snug in size 40 pants and now 38s are falling off! Looks like a few people are sneaking up on the leader board, come on yall!!

30 lbs in 19 days is incredible. Nice work, sir!

It's too much, too fast (see what I did there?). As your doctor I'm obligated to tell you to pace yourself.

Nahh the first 20 is water weight... cut out carbs and salt, drink water and it comes off easy... I am only averaging 5 or 6 a week since then. As I said long ago... don't follow my example. It's not healthy but it works for me. Still eating 3 healthy meals a day! 6oz tuna steak, 6 oz brown rice and steamed zucchini and squash! Just about eating the right foods!

Alright, 20 days, weighed in for the first time. I thought I gained about 10 pounds, but I dropped 1.

We just finished trying to move in, my mother in law has been here the last week, it's been probably one of the more stressful periods in recent history. (ooc)

Found a pool that I'll be running the kids over to every day, and grocery shopping to meal prep for the week now that we have a fridge and kitchen back.

Oh and btw, Texas is the worst place I've ever lived in for food, and I lived in the UP of Michigan. We've eaten out pretty much everyday for weeks trying to find our spots, and unanimously agree on that it's just plain bad. Their cultural food, like Chinese, Thai, Caribbean, etc. is downright horrendous. We have mexican food everywhere, but no actual mexican food. Tex Mex is just a word for bad Mexican, it's almost devastating. So far we found one legit spot, but it's up in Austin (we're San Antonio). That being said, I've found some pretty good Margaritas, but no good food. Oh and every place has thousands of ratings and is 4 stars, so it's nigh impossible to determine beforehand. Sigh.

We're heading to a farmers market now where my wife said she saw Mexicans on one side selling stuff, so I'm hoping that I can go score some tamales out of someone's grandmother's trunk before I actually start eating the meal plan tomorrow.

At 8.3lbs/gallon that would be right around 2.5 gallons of water!!
Hey man I was really fluffy after vacation. If you look at my calves in my original weigh in. You can see the fluid in my legs. Even my slip on boots were getting difficult to slide on. Definitely quite a bit of water weight in the beginning. I will be happy with 3.5 pounds a week from here out, I think we have 8 or 9 weeks left... 220 would be amazing!!

I realize now that you're actually trying to diet, you may not want to go out to eat, but I'll PM you some of our favorite places when we were there 14+ years ago. No promises that they are still any good, but there used to be A LOT of good restaurants in SA. That would be really sad if they have all gone downhill since we left. I will admit that I love Tex-Mex, so I may not be of much help for Mexican. But I can definitely tell you where some good Asian places were back then.

Monday weigh-in: 373.9
Change from last week: +0.3
Change since the start: -5.2

What went well: My goal for this week was to tread water. I knew that Minnemania was going to be a minefield, and four days of sitting on my ass playing poker, eating and drinking was going to make it nigh impossible to lose. I kept my eating reasonable for the first two days, and went a little but not a lot overboard for days three and four. My weight didn't change significantly this week, so I'm declaring success.

What didn't go well: Again, I'm falling down in the exercise area. I'm not making time for it in my schedule, which is what I need to do or it won't happen.

This week: I've scheduled four running windows for this week, and my goal is to use at least three of them. Eating targets are back in effect as of yesterday so I don't expect that to be a problem.
