First day of doing it, no food til noon, veggies and soup. Finish watching kids and five hour development call to go run and.....this.

I guess pushups and squats and BS today. We better get in our house soon or I’m gonna lose my sample set!

Rain stopped! It wasn’t fast, it wasn’t pretty, but it counted.

I’m not gonna post too much personally outside of group reporting updates for awhile and let folks trickle in here to share their piece, but know that I’m out here with you in spirit! Get after it!

First day journaling with MFP.

Kind of want to keto but kind of don't, so I'm half-assing it: no junk carbs, strict journaling to stay under a daily caloric target, and 16/8 intermittent fasting.

After a couple of weeks, if I feel like I can't maintain or I'm not seeing the loss I want to see...

Same. I’m going easy on the diet restrictions, hoping just portion control gets me where I wanna be
 
Day 1 will consist of no beer. Because there is none in the house. And I walked the dogs.

Same here! Just got home after a few weeks away and no beer in the house! No dog walk though so you’re one up on me!

I’ll start hard tomorrow. I’ll be building back to my pre-Covid workouts. I’ve been big into Adventure Racing in the last several years (anyone catch Eco Challenge on Prime?...that just shorter). When you’re training to go hours and hours moving without sleep, it’s all about BBQ style...low and slow! So pretty different than a lot of the other workouts discussed already but typically pretty great for weight loss!

It’s nothing special, but I’ve used this 10-minute stretching video a few times already just to get a little more movement throughout the day.

 
My back is broken in 2 places Mike, personally I am one for the lean club rather than muscle building. This is about circa 2010

Power cord finally made it for the ole exercise bike gents!! Time to get to it!! Tomorrow is here now!!

The long hair is gone brother! Only the Beard remains... it gets hot on the ole exercise bike but its here to stay!

Btw My ass is seriously out of shape... came up last night after the bike covered in sweat, bout to fall over... brie was like that was quick!! Damn it I burnt 170 cals and 20 minutes... I about died... gotta work it back up!!

For the record... one quick workout. Today I have energy, I woke right up and didn't even need my coffee (drank it anyways, but I drink black coffee) this is long overdue but already looking forward to it!!
 
Just dropped in to say "Good luck!" I'm working on strength gains and not focused on dieting per se.

My goals are eating cleaner and moving weights. But I respect those that are hustling the weight loss!
+1 we need a thread for the lifters

To make cloud eggs, you separate the eggs, beat the whites, optionally add cheese, make little cloud shapes and bake in the oven, take them out and add the yolks to the center, bake a bit more, then eat.

They sound good but also sound like way too much work. I can pan fry eggs in 1/3 the time.

Yeah I was wondering that myself while reading... sounds interesting but seems like alot of effort. And if you dont want to dirty a pan, they cook even more quickly in the microwave

I think we decided $20 ish?
I’ve shared with everyone around a min $20 item(s).

We have some folks who obviously can’t win and are just toning up, and I recommended something smaller if they still wanted to do the challenge part.

For others it’s up to them. Lol I don’t have the best self control, so I didn’t give up my number one dream item, but incentive is good so I put up a rather costly one I’d rather not lose. YMMV
