I think a perfect foil for your character is a stereotypically woke vegan atheist snoot from Russia. Freedom is overrated! I love Putin my dictator without question. The key to both of these characters is to make them at least a little sympathetic. Nikolai Volkoff was sympathetic from time to time, and was totally over the top.
