You know you are a Chip-A-Holic when... (3 Viewers)

...you're entire UPS address book is filled with PCF members.

When you hang out at an online poker chip forum that has a dedicated poker ~chair~ thread, ferchrissakes....

Like it's not enough to have countless threads with topics covering the manufacturing, sale, discovery, purchasing, packing, shipping, design, customizing, modifying, cleaning, storing, quantities, and breakdowns of chip sets... but we must also include poker rooms, poker tables, and apparently even the poker chairs that are used to maximize the enjoyment of said chip sets.

Personally, I'm waiting on the poker masseuse pr0n thread. I figure it pops up by August at ~somebody's~ meet-up. :whistling:

WRONG. The correct Jeopardy answer to this is: "How do you know you're a PCF group buy god?" or "How do you know when you've done something awesome for the entire PCF community by taking the time to get thousands of little white boxes specially manufactured and personally oversaw shipping?"

My answer to the thread question...You know you are a Chip-A-Holic when...
You used to pause movies for scenes with nude or bikini-clad women in them, but now only do it when there are casino or poker scenes with chips in them.

I believe there is a thread somewhere about me pausing the casino night episode of the Office because it irked me they were using plastic chips.

...the 6 drawer dresser in a guest bedroom is completely filled, but there are no clothes in it.
...you wish there was another 6 drawer dresser in that guest bedroom, but you don't want to put any clothes in it.

When you just got a dirty look, because you left this page open when you started discussing a use for the empty shelves in the guest room.

Granted, I was probably smiling a little too much when I said I found a use for the guest wardrobe...

Spare bedroom dressers are filled with chip boxes, old chip racks, old cards, lol.

This post hit Home.

I've been scouring eBay the last few days looking for casino chips I can get at decent prices. I've started to have an affinity for chips from closed casinos

I'm not sure you understand the thread

I fixed your post.. ;)

...when you have been scouring eBay every day for the last 365 days looking for a particular casino chip and placing an exorbitant bid to make sure you get it when you finally find one. I have an insane obsession for chips from closed casinos

...if you (@Seeking Alpha Social Club) post the below in someone else's wanted ad. ..
????? I think you might have missed the important part of the post.

This was a message directly to @detroitdad letting him know that I would be willing to help him out (not compete against him). He only wants a handful of chips, 5-20 depending on price, and could run into a seller that would give him a better deal if he took a larger amount.

While I AM DEFINITELY a chipaholic:D, I am NOT actively interested in picking any up unless he needs a secondary financier to help him get the deal done.(y)

I completely understood your post... (y) I think you missed the point of mine...
My point is not that you were competing against him in any way (100% understood you were trying to help him out if the potential seller would only sell an amount larger than what he needed) it was jokingly that you were willing to grab some chips even though you have no idea what they are.. hence the bold portion of the quote ;).
