We recently did our Muscular Dystrophy "Fill the Boot" fundraiser. when counting the change that we collected (over $400 in change alone) most of the guys were counting it 2 coins at a time. I built stacks and matched up stack heights. Needless to say, I whooped them in total coins counted.

Not only do you keep buying more sets, but the average size of the sets keep getting bigger. I once thought 500 chips was plenty - 100 X1 / 200X5 / 100x25(20) / 100x100. These days I think 500 $5 chips might not be enough.

Lots to be said for having 1,200+ chips "just in case" we need that many one night. However I never EVER buy a big set without it hitting the table PDQ after the chips arrive. There is nothing in my horde that is playable for cash stakes which has not seen the felt.
