My first set and still they are one of my favorites. It was searching for a rack of the 100's that started my down the rabbit hole chipping.

I ordered about 400 of these and am (I'm)patiently awaiting their arrival from Germany! Can't wait to get my hands on em!

mold design:
The card-pips (suits) mold is decent, although some find it a bit busy. It plays well and wears well, although it is somewhat prone to warping. Of the commonly used Paulson 39mm molds, I'd rank it 2nd: THC > card-pips > RHC

inlay design:
Nice, clean design, with easy-to-read denominations. Real shaped inlays are always a plus.

edge spot choices:
Given all of the available choices, this is one of the big disappointments of the set. Not a huge fan of 4d14 in general, and certainly not when used three times in the same set. Good spot choices on the 5/500 and 25/1000 chips, although would be much better if those weren't repeated, either.

color choices;
Not a fan of the 1 and 5000 color combos, but the 25, 100, and 1000 chips are all particularly striking.

overall:
I'd give the set a "B" score. Nice chips, but there are certainly better (and much worse) sets out there.

I like this analysis. Need a BGinGA AMA set analysis thread lol

I’m sorry if this is thought of as common knowledge but what does “pron” mean?

Pron or 'pr0n' here means 'lots of pictures of chips,' or 'chip PORN,' spelled 'pr0n' for the (fill in your favorite derisive term of fragility here...)

Ok, that makes sense. Thanks for the clarification.

It all comes down to preference. These are one of my all time favourites. I have a 600 chip set that I will never get rid off, even if I don't play with them!

Tonight I am getting my new fracs in play (using WTHC NCVs and PCR 10s) modeled after the one true WTHC fracs which I owned momentarily. But honestly I want to get some more of these Yellow Avalons (don’t have enough yet to play)...
