WSOP Chip Usage History - 2022 Paris/Bally's Tertiary Paulsons
After nearly two decades at the Rio, the WSOP finally changed venues again in 2022. This time, branded as being held by the conglomerate Caesars Entertainment, the world famous poker series was now split between the Paris and legendary Bally's casino with planned rebrands to come.
Unlike in previous years at the Rio where management would typically keep sets together, the three bracelet sets were used together and mixed and matched in seemingly random situations along with other rarely seen chips also ordered for the events. This was likely implemented to prevent cheating. Despite this, the 2022 WSOP was not without a few cheating scandals involving chips.
These chips have been labeled as the tertiary chips due to their limited and restricted use compared to the other two major sets.
