Let me start by saying that I'm not looking to hire anyone. I see a lot of posts in that flavor. I am a designer myself and feel like there must be a strong subcommunity of graphic designers on this forum. If you consider yourself a designer, whether professional or hobbyist, and you're active on PCF, say hello. I'd love to see your work, geek about aesthetics, art, technique, etc.

Hi, and Welcome.

I'm a amateur AI program user at best and have designed a few poker cloths for my poker table, one being a Hockey theme, and 2 versions of Mirage logo cloths. I've also made some cut cards. I haven't purchased any vector logos, but have downloaded enough to get me by for my projects.
I don't spend much time with Adobe Illustrator, but I can manage simple tasks on the program. I haven't studied enough tutorials or instructions to become proficient at using AI.
I spent hours trying to make overhead seating plan to surround my ice rink for my next custom cloth but have never been able to pull it off successfully.
I know that one can create a design by tracing over a picture, etc, but I've never dove into the program enough to pull that off quite yet.

Hi there! I'm a recreational graphic designer who's proficient in Illustrator, learning Affinity Designer, and I'm at least half a dozen chipsets in. I've designed felts for charity casino events, and chips for poker tournaments and home games. Proudly using no gAI in my design process

In Illustrator, there's a shortcut for tracing images. Drag and drop the image you want to trace into the Illustrator artboard. In the Properties tab on the right, near the bottom in the "quick actions" section, you'll see Image Trace. It takes a little trial and error, and the results depend on what the original image looks like, but this can save hours of vector tracing in the right situations.
