What video games are you playing? (20 Viewers)

Finally unlocked the Erratic deck. Definitely by the skin of my teeth. The last round was 'very large blind' at 1200. Luckily I had Mr. Bones (score at least 25%). Also had Throwback and it was perishable and on it's 5th round.

They really need to release a sequel with some new decks.

This game got me so addicted :D

I've got almost 150 hours into Crimson Desert but kinda lost interest so taking a break. Will probably pop back in from time to time.

Back on Stellaris. I had previously played on the 3.14 version over a year ago, but they're on 4.3 now and a LOT has changed. And if you know Paradox, they LOVE their paid DLC (to the tune of over $400 if you want everything for this game)

I have some of the DLC but nowhere near even half of it. Wound up paying the $9.99 for a monthly subscription (you can get 6 months for $30) which unlocks ALL DLC packs so I can at least try stuff out.

There's a LOT of stuff for me to digest, as well as significant changes in the way the game is played. So been doing a lot of start and restart as I learn. But so far having fun and starting to ramp up the difficulty so I can get some challenge (tried it on normal with no bonuses to AI and was too easy, but I'm nowhere near ready for Grand Admiral difficulty)

I figure with the subscription model I'll just pay it when I play and then unsubscribe when I don't, rather than spending over 400 bucks.

EDIT TO ADD: Just looked and I have over 1,800 hours in Stellaris and still haven't seen and done everything

If anyone ever wondered where one of the most influential games of all time got its name...

Zork Zero is my favorite of the text series. Zork Nemesis is my fav of the "Myst" style Zrok's even though it's much more serious and dark.
OMG. I had no idea there was more to Zork than I, II, and III. You have just opened a rabbit hole that I must explore. There are some many to check out!

Thank you!

Wow, wonderful thread.

So for the nostalgia:
The most unusual game I had was "Way Out" on Apple II - a first person 3d (!) game where you had to escape a maze from within.
Strangely I never played Zork at the time, but later got absorbed to the Myst series - Riven was my GOAT game for many years.

Nowadays I can highly recommend Oxygen not Included for the engineers, designers and strategists. Build a colony of dupes stranded on an astroid and get them out on a rocketship.

I'm kind of a completionist, for the most part but not always. Like, I might be done with the game actually. I can't beat the hardest boss and I'm kind of ok with that.

I never dodged through the whole game except at the very end during a certain fight where I just couldn't parry effectively. I saw no point when I needed the counterattack damage to beat characters, so I just kept replaying and learned the timing. Some insanely difficult timings for a lot of fights, really cool battle system. I thought it was going to be strictly turn based like FFX, and now I'm glad it wasn't as the fights were way cooler this way when you have to play active defense.
MAN. Still enjoying Clair Obscur, I'm playing it in stops and starts when I have the time. No spoilers for others but finished the two Axons and now have the weapon. Minimal grinding or min/maxing. Just slowly figuring out my playstyle. Very impressed but I'm getting to the point where I have to start thinking about building up an endgame.

At first glance it is everything I wouldn't like: French music, turn-based combat, story heavy game, but I'm loving it.

A very cool game for sure. The story and character acting really sell the game. I did everything except beat the hardest boss. I don't usually look up guides or cheats but I wanted to see how people were able to beat it because I was just never gonna get there. After watching, yep, I probably would never have figured it out on my own. When I play it again in 10 years maybe I'll totally complete it.

just finished Pragmata. wonderful game, cool mechanics, and doesn't overstay its welcome.
