I can enjoy having something fun to chase while playing, but personally I really dislike it when there are many complicated rules. Like having to use both hole cards to qualify. And also having to win the hand to qualify. Another annoying one is having to win on showdown on the river. All of these make me more annoyed than anything, and I'd much just enjoy a harder thing to hit. Say getting quad 10s+ to qualify instead of a flush.
Unless specifically told about the rules before hand (and even then to some degree) it leaves a bad taste in my mouth whenever I do something that I belive should be enough to qualify. Like having to win the hand to qualify. Flush under flush leads to me loosing a big pot, and I'm not even getting one of the 4 flushes ticked off? Would make me super annoyed.
