What Chips do you Consider "ICONIC"? (1 Viewer)

I'm pretty sure that would be Toyotas.

BMWs are actually quite impressive, at least among actual performance car people.
To each their own... I'm actually on my 3rd and probably last 528xi. Nice car don't get me wrong... roomy and reliable and presents well (I run a consulting biz where 'image of success' is somewhat important). But I don't enjoy it at all. It's just a car.

I have faith he could..... @upNdown can do anything!
Not ANYTHING. But lots of things. And I'm pretty sure any inlay I designed would be very very bad.
Anyway, I never said I liked the classics or their inlays. Nonetheless, they've always seemed iconic to me.
I didn't think this discussion is supposed to be about personal tastes, otherwise I would have pooped on half the chips mentioned already.

And shitting on sets is the PCF way!
Now that you mention it, what the hell is up with those weirdo edge spots on the inlays of the Crystal Palace chips?

Edit - err Crystal Park. I own a Crystal Palace set; you'd think I'd know the difference.

Or any god.

Of course, "god" is "dog" spelled backward, and everyone likes dogs...
speaking of dogs what the hell is the story behind this set? Real Paulsons or relabel (and if so, from where?)

I always thought these were monotone edgespot colors until I played with them at a random home game and saw the slight difference. Love the base colors, hate the edgespots.

Looking at it from the viewpoint of the chipsets that have generated the most consistent long-term love and traffic among CT and PCF members, I'd say that these should be the original installation in the Chippers' Hall of Fame:

Chipcos, from the era of the Egyptians, Apaches, and the 2004-2005 WSOP tributes

Paulson Pharaohs, National Poker Series, World TH&C, Noirs, Crystal Parks

TRK Nevada Club/Lodge

BCC Mardi Gras, Riverboats

Paulson and BCC Vineyards

Aztars (assorted)

Bahamias

PCAs

PNYs
I don't personally like all of those chips, but that's a pretty solid list of iconic sets, at least in chipper terms.

I'll second that list. Do we have anyone to close out the nomination?

I’ll give you my definition of iconic. My categories are casino chips by color and denomination. So if I say $1 white casino chip, you think Gulfport $1. If I say $1 blue, you think spotted Flamingo birdie. It’s how I’m going to design my 43mm cards mold set. Still working on several of the colors.

Hmmm -- by your definition, my votes would be Aztar MO $1 and Paris $1. :cool

This guy gets the actual definition of iconic.

TRK Nevada Lodge $1 - I'm not sure there is a more Iconic anything .

South Point chips (The Big Game)
Aria chips (High Stakes Poker)
WSOP chips (this video got me interested in poker, randomly popped up in my feed a couple years ago, never looked back!
)

i'm from the new era of players so iconic has a different meaning to me :)
