Spent the last few days fly fishing the North Platte River out of Casper, WY.
Below is where we launched the drift boat yesterday. Thought to myself, “This is awesome!” … and then the guide from the other boat just casually mentions, “Dude, there were SO many rattlesnakes out yesterday!” I suddenly became far less enthusiastic.

Spring time on the North Platte can produce huge fish. Caught a few in this class size (personal bests for me, which is always exciting).

Had a pure Wyoming experience yesterday to finish things off. We were fishing a solid 90 minutes off the grid, and I told my guide I needed to get back to Denver to catch a red eye. He brings me to this fork in the road and says, “50 miles down this road is the next town that’ll hook you up with the highway.” As you can imagine… I didn’t see a single soul in those 50 miles.
