It means that my order has been accepted and paid for, and the art has been provided, and sometime in the future will require approval of the proofs before production is started. I'm guessing still a few months out. My last "approval" from Dave was merely to confirm that my art conformed to the guidelines that were required for production.
Dam... I was getting all excited there for a minute. Thought maybe LC and SC were closer than previously thought

Not too much. I posted a few but haven’t added them to the CDB or my thread. I have these in my phone.
I really like the FDL’s feel. And love that the inlays aren’t textured. I just wish it had an outer-ring.

It is. It’s always fun to see how a little oil changes them.
The simple edge spot patterns looks great as well.
Another good example of a great set with a simple L1 edge spot. Spots don't have
to be complex (and expensive)

Totally agree. I’d say it’s highly dependant on the artwork. I’ve seen some mind blowing sets with crazy spots and they look fantastic. But, IMO tournament sets work better with one standard spot type.
@bsdunbar1 has a tourney set that uses the 6d18 and they’re one of the best sets out there.
Did you do the bucket of water with oil in it version of oiling??

Nope. I pour a palms full of mineral oil into my hand, rub my hands together and dry them onto a face-cloth. If they look extra shiny in the pics it’s because the flash on my shitty iPhone went off.
I wouldn’t submerge a CPC chip in anything. That method is great for China clays or the like.
