Ultrasonic on HS Cleveland Primary Chips (2 Viewers)

I’m a litttle bit of procrastinator, but I finally got around to cleaning my Primary Cleveland’s from the Chip Room sale from YEARs ago.

These are unbelievably beautiful once they’ve been cleaned and I’m kicking myself for waiting for so long.

My method
Ultrasonic cleaner
8 cups distilled water (for US)
2 tablespoons TSP
42-43 degrees Celsius
1 minute using salad spinner rotating often
Rinse in bowl of warm water after US cleaning (tap is fine)

That's quite concentrated detergent. I would have used 8 cups water.

Ugh. I did use 8 cups. 2 cups heated in microwave for 3 minutes and then 6 cups added on top. I will edit the OP.

Sorry, I'm hijacking this thread a) to thank @kirchhausen because he inspired me to get off my butt today, and b) to show a little US progress of my own.

I had a couple racks of Aztar Indiana $1s that still had Original Casino Hooker Juice™ and desperately needed a scrub. They were my test subjects with the new US I bought a few weeks ago.

8 cups water
2 tbsp fake TSP
41℃ for 3 minutes (Tested at 1 minute and 2 minutes, but neither was enough to get most chips clean)

Overall, I'm extremely happy. I'm still dialing in the process, might add a Dawn presoak to reduce time in the US. I also had a really hard time with the salad spinner, and ended up going with the "dump and stir" method.

A few of these still need some work with a magic eraser, but the vast majority are looking fantastic.

I did 2 racks of Cleveland Hundos using the same method, and luckily I didn't have to use the magic eraser at all.

I also think the vast majority of the two racks I cleaned are going to be fine without it. I'm going to look at them again tonight and take a ME to any that need it.

15L US?
How many chips were you planning on cleaning?

In my 6L US I can easily clean a rack at a time & it works great. I can clean way more chips in an hour than I have ever needed to.

I heard 6l u only do like 20-40

So I bought a 15l to do 1 rack at a time but I will prob never even use it but my hands n wrists are so messed up from cleaning by hand
