I don’t follow F1 that much but that’s a lot of wipeouts in the first few laps. Even during the formation lap!

Yeah, I felt bad for that guy. Not the way you want to start your F1 career - eating the wall on the formation lap.
 
I just stared watching last year after watching the Vegas Grand Prix. Watching all the antics Ferrari did to Carlos & Charles last makes me believe Lewis will want to leave after next year.

I should have posted it here for posterity, but I remember saying to myself after I watched DTS before this season started "I sure hope the Red Bull machine doesn't chew this kid up and spit him out like old bubblegum."

After last weekend, I thought this would happen a few races from now, not now, but it makes sense to have Yuki in the big machine for the Japanese GP.
 
I still feel like it was a mistake that RB didn’t snap up Sainz when he was available.

Can’t quite figure that one out and not seeing either Lawson or Yuki comparatively being a better choice than Sainz…?
 
What a joke at Spanish Grand Prix with a 10 second penalty for Crashtappen intentionally ramming Russell.

Nico Rosberg had it correct: Black Flag him. Complete joke that they didn't.

Maxipad will have to be on his best behavior in Canada because if he gets 1 more point vs his Super License before Austria he will recieve a 1 race suspension.

The truth is if he drove for any team other than the one where the principal is Christian Horner OBE he would be an exile like Crashtor Maldonado.

Any other team on the grid would pretty much trip over themselves to sign Verstappen (budget aside) if he was available. Maybe McLaren and Ferrari would be exceptions, but considering Aston has been rumoured to have a contract worth nearly $500mil on the table for Verstappen I don't think they would be planning to exile. He is the fastest driver on the grid by seemingly a considerable margin coming from a McLaren fan. Especially considering he pops over to GT3 and nearly breaks the Nurburgring track record in his first couple of laps.

I do agree that Spain was pretty much inexcusable though I thought he should have been DQ'd or given a drive through. Although 10 seconds was enough to drop him 4 positions costing him 9 points and Russel sustained no serious damage that threatened his race.

I’m not questioning the talent. But during his career he’s continually broken rules and driven recklessly. Moving in braking zones. Making two moves but disguising it as following the racing line. Etc etc. I’m saying if driver for a less prestigious team broke as many rules as consistently as he did, they would have been shown the door. Maybe in life we just let talented people run fast and loose and I should accept it.
