Fifteen or so years ago, I saw a picture of the Royal Classic Clays and well; let the addiction begin.
While I never actually owned any singles or a set, they were and still are some of the best looking chips ever made.

I want to say more than 20 years ago, my uncle bought (what I now know to be) a set of BCC Fan of Cards chips. He swears they’re clay, but they have all the signs of being ceramic to me. They have textured surfaces, no mold or inlay, and the images are printed directly on the chip.

Anyway, I thought they were the coolest chips I’d ever seen. When I started looking for a set of my own a few months ago, I tried finding those exact chips, but came up dry.

Eventually, I found myself here at PCF, and the rest is history in progress.

I got a set of these chips as a law school graduation gift 21 years ago, but they disappeared (seriously....) and I replaced them a few years ago. I didn't start playing on a regular basis until about 3 years ago, and my chip collection has grown significantly since then. I have about a dozen cash sets, but these still get used about 80% of the time. They are not anything fancy, but they mean a lot to me. I got enough chips with the replacement set to make sure each of my sons can have a full cash set of the chips when I kick the bucket someday.
