It’s a balance. The regular season has to mean something, but you don’t want to start egregiously different.

Iron Donkey Poker League season 10 championship was last Saturday, my first appearance in the 6? 7? Seasons I have played. Unfortunately, I did not win, but started 9th and ended 5th, so that is a mega win in my books. Strange coincidence - I ended 5th in the last Shootout @ the Post.
Congratulations to Jack Butler (this f**king guy) for scoring both the win and being the points leader for the season, and to Jamie for being 2nd in both as well. Jack was down to 3-4 blinds, tripled up in an all in, and went on a run good taking the final hand QQ vs 4d6d on a 7-4-7 flop.
Special thanks to @Mr Tree for ANOTHER awesome season, enjoy your summer and excited to see the changes for next season!
